The location, Mandrem (Junas Wadoo) itself, belongs to one of the last unspoilt places in North Goa. I am saying this as a Goa expert - since 15 years.
Antony's house is a perfect spot since it's located in the centre of Mandrem Beach area, yet very quiet because it's at the dead end road. It's 3min away from the beach, has a supermarket next door, vegetable and fruit seller in front, laundry services too and few good restaurants close by.
The apartment is in a standalone house and his friendly father lives in a room next door - privacy is guaranteed. It is very spacious, has a living area with a couch which can be transformed to a second bed, a terrace, a bedroom with an AC and cupboard, a huge kitchen with a new and big fridge. The bathroom has hot water.
The only downside is that there is hardly any Internet connection - generally in Mandrem. So if you want to work from home, this will not be an option and you need to go to the restaurants around. Also we found the place a bit dark in the beginning, but the positive side is, it remains cool and comfortable if you want to sleep any time.
We pimped up the kitchen with basic stuff like frying pan, cutting board, knives, plates, spices, cleaning and sweeping stuff...
Antony was very responsive and helpful by telephone and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). His aging father takes care of the place here and is a cheerful person. Their relatives were nice too, doing the weekly cleaning for a bit of money.
Overall we didn't have any issues with the place. We definitely recommend tho every body - be it a long or short term stay here!
