This is a great cabin right on the American River, behind the Strawberry Lodge, 5 min walk to Lovers Leap campground and 4.5 miles from Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort. All season long there is plenty to do, hiking, swimming, fishing, climbing, snow sports, water sports. It is near many small lakes and 30 mins to South Lake Tahoe via Highway 50.

The space

This cabin is very conveniently located to everything you could possibly need but not in the mayhem of Tahoe basin. It is 8 min west of Sierra at Tahoe which makes for a easy beginning and end to a ski day. The big airy feel of a true cabin welcomes you to the surrounding pine trees.

Guest access

Driveway is big enough for 3 cars. Firewood is in storage shed.

Interaction with guests

Owners are available as needed via phone, email or text.

Other things to note

There is no cable or internet. I know that sounds scary but it really is nice to unplug for (URL HIDDEN) front of a 60" flat screen TV and about 100+ DVD's for you viewing enjoyment! Most mobile providers will have good service so you can use your personal hot spots for quick check ins.

This is a great cabin for climbing at the leap or skiing at South Lake Tahoe. Not super modern but comfy family friendly well equipped and great location

This cabin was so beautiful and unique. Really spacious too! Equipped really well and really close to Sierra-at-Tahoe. A beautiful stream runs behind and the view out of the big back windows was sublime. Such a pleasure working with Jennifer too. Will definitely be back!

This cabin was perfect for those snowboarding at Sierra at Tahoe. It was as close as you can get! Also, there are so many little details in the cabin that made it incredibly amazing, such as the electric heated beds. You can tell the owners really put a lot of effort into making the cabin cozy and fun. It was very spacious and the surroundings were goregeous, with a creek running through the backyard. The price is a steal! The only downside is proximity to the action of Tahoe and to restaurants, etc, also no wifi. Jennifer was a great host and very helpful/responsive. Lastly, do not follow the directions from (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, you will get stuck in the snow (we did and had to spend 250$ for a tow!).

The cabin could not have been more perfect! The pictures do not come close to doing this place justice. We stayed here during a weekend filled with skiing and loved the close proximity to Sierra. When we weren't skiing, we spent time warming ourselves around the wood burning fireplace, playing games, cooking food, and watching the snow fall from the absolutely stunning floor to ceiling windows in the living room. This place was a perfect mix of rustic cabin in the woods, but with plenty of modern conveniences. Would love to come back in the summer. The cabin is directly on a beautiful river, just steps from the back door. Jennifer was helpful and kind, allowing us to even check out late so we didn't have to rush. Highly recommend!

Spent 4 days at this fabulous cabin! The cabin was very specious and extremely cozy! It was very clean and well equipped with everything you would need. The location couldn't be better--short walk to the river with a sandy beach and a wonderful deck to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery and serenity of the flowing river! Very peaceful!! More like a house to live in than a cabin! Would have liked to have cable TV access but otherwise everything was perfect!! Hosts were easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions!! Would highly recommend this beautiful home!

We headed up to Lovers Leap for a weekend of climbing with 5 adults and 2 kids, taking turns watching the kiddos while the adults climbed. Jennifer's cabin was perfect for this! Location is awesome, walking distance to Lover's Leap crags, and at the end of a quiet street, backing up on the river. Kiddos had fun playing at the cabin and in the creek, while climbers went and had fun at the leap, without having to brave the crowded campground. The photos of the interior don't do it justice. The kitchen is really nice and fully stocked with nice stuff, and the place has a well-kept and modern decor. Very nice place and plenty spacious for 3 parties (i.e. 3 bedrooms) and could easily fit someone in the big living room with the picture windows if need be. Jennifer was super helpful before hand, and checkin/checkout was a breeze. Would totally stay here again.
