Stayed for 2 weeks.. My stay was pleasant.. Just a minor thing-- the hosts do NOT provide soap & shampoo -- you should bring your own -- anyway, this is a small, minor issue.. The house was nice with all amenities.. Peter and Maree are good, nice hosts.. I asked for a heater and an extra quilt, and they provided me with both.. The next time I visit Canberra, I'll be happy to stay in Maree & Peter's place again.

This was a great value share house that was comfortable and in a nice location. Ended up staying for 6months when I initially only planned a short stay. Thanks to Peter and Maree who were welcoming and attentive hosts.

Peter and Maree were the most wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to make my stay in Canberra a great experience and provided any help and advice I needed. The house is a very comfortable, spatious and clean and sharing it with other airbnbers from all over the world was an exciting experience. Kaleen is a quiet city, which is located about 25 min. by bus or 30-35 min. by bike from the city center, yet if offers all the basic shops you need. I would definitely recommend staying at Peter and Maree's place when visiting Canberra and hope to see them again some time soon.

Peter and Maree are running an excellent residence. The house is well maintained and kept up, even though they do not live on site. It is a great place, for an even better price, with hosts who can work with you on a flexible schedule. Transit is not an issue with buses right down the street and room for parking if you drive. Canberra also has plenty of bike paths, too. Maree is was kind enough to give me all the details for traveling around without a car. If you like privacy and space, heating in the cold winter, and accommodating hosts then this is the place for you.
