The location is perfect for a lazy bike around town and along the waterfront -- perfect location for people on bicycles; we could leave the car behind. They let us store the bicycles in a safe place. The room is quiet and spacious. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations. And we really enjoyed chatting with Nelson and Astrid -- a fascinating conversation. They were also accommodating AND sympathetic about our late arrival. With Nelson's advice, we were able to avoid the bridge traffic on the way home.

I stayed here for a dry run of the Ironman Maryland bike course. It was a great location just a mile or so from the start. It is an extremely beautiful area and Nelson and Astrid were fantastic hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed with Nelson and his significant other in late July 2017 for an event at the local RAR brewery. Nelson was very accommodating and worked with me when my arrival was later than planned. The room included a comfortable bed and a window AC unit that kept the room perfectly chilled. Bathroom is close to the bedroom. Bonus: I forgot my prescription glasses at the house and Nelson mailed them to me. Terrific hosts in an amazing little town!

I was in town for the Ironman 70.3 EagleMan and Nelson's place is a perfect location to stay if you are doing either EagleMan or Ironman Maryland. It's a 5-10' walk to the start and finish and also walkable to the downtown area. The room is as described and I had free access to the kitchen, fridge, and, most importantly, a coffee pot for race morning! As you will notice immediately upon entering the house, Nelson is a big game hunter and has traveled all over the world, so if you have the chance during your stay definitely take the opportunity to chat with him and Astrid. They are very interesting and friendly people.

I am so grateful for the hospitality and generosity of Nelson and Astrid. They go way out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable, feel at home and have what they need to enjoy their stay in Cambridge. Their house is very clean, quiet and cozy. The room has its own air conditioner with a comfortable bed and dresser (and door lock). Parking was easy/available, the house is in close proximity to the Ironman start/finish (about midway between both) and downtown is only a short walk or drive away. And, they know the area very well so recommendations for shopping, dining and entertainment are always available and reliable. Nelson and Astrid are also great conversationalists -- ready to engage in a lively discussion or simply let you enjoy your privacy. With them, it's always about you!

What stuck out most about Nelson was how helpful and welcoming he was. As soon as I booked the room - weeks before I was set to arrive - he reached out with information about the local area and suggestions on what I should see. I meticulously plan my vacations far in advance: and Nelson's feedback helped shape my vacation plans. He helped me identify local attractions and even plan what time of the day I should see them. By the time I arrived, I didn't really need the copious maps and brochures he left in my room. The room is small, and contains no desk. The bed is small, but very comfortable as advertised. You can use the upstairs bathroom with is small but has a modern shower. You do not have use of the drawers or closet in the room. The air conditioner is very powerful and quiet, a good combination. The zebra skin rug in the picture is no longer there, it has been replaced by a standard white rectangular rug. Nelson let me use his large supply of bottled water, let us use one of his cups for brushing our teeth, let us store food in his fridge. He let us use his kitchen to make coffee in the morning. His dog is very large and friendly: I did not see either of the two cats, but heard some meowing in the hallway late at night after going to bed. When you rent an Airbnb, you rent a room and a person: the person part of this rental was flawless.

My husband and I stayed over night on our way to Rehoboth Beach. Nelson was welcoming and kind. We stayed in a simple private room in his home, with access to a shower / bathroom. We had our bikes in tow and Nelson allowed us to keep them in his living room. Fresh coffee in the morning started us on our way. We rode through the Black Water Refuge upon his recommendation. Great advice! Thank you Nelson for your hospitality.
