My 3 Bedroom / 3 Bath home will afford you the comfort and luxury of experiencing Savannah like a local, in the center of the historic district, steps from all the sights.

The space

A two-story, 3 Bedroom / 3 Bath home with a remodeled kitchen.

Original heart pine floors, exposed brick, ten-foot ceilings, four non-working original fireplaces, authentic victorian furniture and decor, gas lamps, a peaceful courtyard, and all the modern amenities which allow you to relax in the charm of the 'Hostess City."

The open double parlor (living room and dining room) is a perfect place to relax in the comfortable leather couches or to eat your home cooked meal. There is cozy den off the remodeled kitchen. The tranquil courtyard is recently rebuilt and landscaped, giving shade in the summer, and full of sun during the winter, where you can enjoy your morning coffee, eat a meal, or just take things slow like a local, sipping on your favorite drinks. The back bedroom has a balcony on the second floor, great for sunning, overlooking the courtyard (and the St. Paddy's Day Parade route).

Two of the full bathrooms are upstairs: one with a shower/tub and the other just a shower. The third full bathroom is downstairs, but it has a tub with no shower head.

Guest access

You will have access to the entire house, courtyard, and private driveway with parking for two vehicles.

Instructions for entry to the house will be unlocked once you book and are available in the house manual section.

Interaction with guests

I may or may not be in town during your stay. If I am in town, I would be glad to meet with you to give advice or help in any way. If I am not in town, I will still be accessible by email, and would be pleased to be your personal concierge during your stay. Although I have only lived in Savannah for 6 years, I know the town inside and out, so much that friends who were born and raised here routinely call me for advice.

Other things to note

I must add 13% tax to the base rate for all rentals (Georgia sales-and-use tax of 7% plus Savannah's 6% hotel/motel tax). Airbnb doesn't currently have a way to add this, so with every booking I must send you a special offer that includes that tax.

8 guests is my capacity by law and I cannot make exceptions. My home is most suitable for a group of couples, a big family, or a small group of singles. My home is not hospitable for large groups of singles, including bachelor/bachelorette parties.

I will allow pets on a case by case basis, but there will be an extra fee (usually $100 but depends on the situation/number and size of pets/etc.

I ask if you are staying for longer than a weekend, that you do me a favor and make sure the plants inside and on the porch don't get too thirsty.

Check-in is after 4pm and Check-out is at 12pm. It is possible to to change that timeline, but it depends on my schedule, cleaning schedules, other guests, etc.

This is my personal home, but since I travel extensively, I rent it out. As such, it will have a lived in feel, which I think adds to charm--but all of my very personal belongings will be locked away. You will be able to enjoy all of my fine furnishings and amenities, but I ask that you treat it accordingly, as if you were staying at your close friend's home. There is usually beer in the fridge, wine chilled, and always a fully stocked bar. I do not mind you making your self a drink when you arrive before you are able to go to the store, but please don't drink all of my stock.

No additional guests, beyond who is originally booked, are allowed in the house, and there are absolutely no parties allowed.

There is no smoking allowed.

Pets are allowed on a case by case basis. If you bring a pet without disclosing it to me I will cancel the reservation with no refund, (and if you have already checked-in I will keep the security deposit).

If find find evidence of any of the rules being broken, I will cancel the reservation without refund and keep the deposit.

Otherwise just have a great time and relax and let me know if there is anything I can do to make your stay better!

Must climb stairs - All 3 bedrooms are on the second floor of the house. There is a pull out queen sized memory foam mattress downstairs in the den.

The property was in the best area in the city. The area was very beautiful with period properties on every street. Powell suggested some places to eat and both were amazing (The Pink House and Clarys). The house was beautifully restored with period furniture which felt like stepping back in time. The information pack was brilliant and the discount card for Clarys was a great plus. Powell was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. He responded very quickly to any question. Powell left us a bottle of red wine which was very much enjoyed. Would definitely recommend staying here. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the house had everything we needed Many thanks Powell Would have loved to have met you in person to thank you.

This home is in a great location. It is quiet at night. Everything is in walking distance. Our favorite dining places: Clary's Cafe, The Pirate House, The Old Pink House, Funky Brunch Cafe.

The home is centrally located in Savannah's beautiful historic district. It was easy to walk everywhere and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The house is lovely, the beds are all comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. A wonderful stay in a beautiful city!

This is a lovely, historic home in the heart of Savannah. The house fit my party of 6 comfortably with plenty of space and is located in an ideal location for all types of activities in Savannah (restaurants, shops, tours, parks, sights, etc.). Communication with Powell was seamless and the check-in and check-out procedures were simple. I would highly recommend to all.
