Gosh.....when they tried to blackmail us into giving them their money back or they'd write a negative review, we balked. This is all a bunch of codswallop i.e. complete and utter nonsense. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS OF OTHERS. The couch is Italian leather, real leather, not "leatherette": we have spent many an afternoon relaxing on it. It's really comfy. No need to dare us! We have original art on the walls, although after reading this review, we note that one original piece of art in the bedroom has been stolen.
The toilet handle is not broken, or cracked. The dining table is a Giantino masterpiece, where all the seats fit under the table in a circle. The couch and chairs are cleaned thoroughly after every visitor, as is the rest of the cottage. We took the bench out of the bedroom after the last couple wanted more space. Can't win them all. The windows have recessed blinds, they just didn't know how to operate them I guess, and never asked. I'm not sure how the ceiling fan/light can be unusable even if it were filthy, which it is not. The exterior might be unkempt to some, to others, it's bohemian - surfboards, bikes, a budha, bamboo, although the drought has had us change our landscaping plan to eliminate grass except in one area. The rug in the unit was brand new before they moved in. Who stained it? Guess who. The cottage was painted 4 months before they stayed. The bathroom is clean and tidy, although the calk on the base of the tub has separated, so we'll fix that. Before this elderly couple, all of our guests have loved staying. I could go on and on. But really, if as they write, they didn't want to stay here before they booked, then why did they book? Worse still, they paid the least we've ever offered the cottage out for. Amazing. I feel sad that people can write negative reviews but remain unaccountable. Curiously, they never said a word while they were there. Not one word.
