This cabin was a beautiful place to be. Magret runs a great place and there are great touches throughout that make the cabin feel like a home away from home. It's a great escape for a chance to recharge. It's proximity to the Frontenac Provincial Park was a main draw for me, and …

We had a great time relaxing in this tranquil space. The lake was pristine and quiet, and such a treat to walk past horses, cows and through the forest path to arrive at our own secluded dock. If you’re looking to relax and enjoy the outdoors, with some restored Canadiana throw…

Lovely cottage more suitable for fall and winter vacationing. Property is extensive and beautiful but dock area not as suitable for swimming as hoped. Water is shallow at foot of dock and broken tree branches and seaweed made it difficult to get into without water shoes (which we…

If you are looking for an abode pasted on a postage stamp wedged in between other cottages, then this is not the place to go. The Desert Lake Cabin and Waterfront Farm offers a restored 200 year old pioneers’ home on 200 acres of True Canadian Shield terrain interspersed with meadows for the few horses and cattle that roam freely . Over 2000 feet of waterfront offers a high level of privacy . A trail down to where guests’ private floating dock is moored, becomes a very picturesque lane that takes a few minutes to walk to or drive as you chose. The 12X12 floating dock has a ladder at the end for easy entry in and out. In the summer, the water is like silk to swim in. The shoreline is natural and undisturbed on a pristine Lake Trout sensitive lake, where the water’s edge may not be tampered with. It is important for potential guests regardless of where they chose to travel, to take the time to read Hosts’ descriptions in order to avoid disappointment.
