About this listing
The apartment is bright and quiet, only 30 mins to the city centre. Big kitchen, bedroom, living room, lots of books and a lovely view.
The apartment is 52,5 m2, so there's lots of space. Every room has three big windows, which means that even during the dark Finnish winter months the rooms are bright. This is my own apartment, so I can recommend staying here with my own experience: a very calm and peaceful neighbourhood and house. Perfect for chilling out, reading, exploring Helsinki and so forth.
The kitchen comes with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, espresso and water kettles, gas stove, electric oven and tea and coffee. There's also a dining table and a stereo to listen to some music or radio while cooking.
The bedroom has a double bed, with bed linen and towels included, a reading lamp and lots of closet space.
The living room has a tv and dvd player (lots of dvds, too), a desk, sofa and record player. There's wifi in the apartment.
The bathroom is quite small, but has everything needed: a hot shower, washing-machine, basin and a big mirror.
Interaction with guests
I won't be in the apartment when you stay there (I'm probably travelling!), so you'll have all the privacy you need. However, even if I'm abroad, you can always contact me by text message or email. I have friends living nearby, who can also help with emergency situations. If I cannot give you the keys personally, one of my friends will do that. I will leave detailed instructions about the flat and everything you need to know!
Other things to note
Since the building is located on a hill and there is no elevator, this apartment is unfortunately not suited for people with special needs.
There is no smoking in the apartment and no pets allowed. I prefer guests who tell something about themselves and their reason to come to Helsinki.

I'm a friendly postgraduate student living in Helsinki, Finland. I have lived in Scotland and Canada and am used to travelling and meeting people from all over the world. I prefer travelling with a low budget and an open mind, so that I can get to know local culture and people. Ecological values are also important to me.
