Location

Cornwall, England, United Kingdom

Providence Cottage is situated a few minutes walk away from the city centre but is set well back from the main road and consequently gets little traffic noise.
The Co-Op supermarket is a 5-minute walk away; a large Marks and Spencer is located on Lemon Quay - an 8-minute walk away with a Tesco Superstore a further 3-minute walk. There are also a large variety of other shops in the city centre including a Pannier Market; a White Company; Waterstones and Wilco.
Sainsbury’s and Aldi are a 5-minute drive in the direction of the Railway Station; Waitrose is at the top of the City on the way to St. Austell - again a 5-minute drive away with the Cornish Store attached - which has an excellent range of local produce.
There is an excellent Farmer’s Market every Wednesday and Saturday on Lemon Quay – well worth a visit.

EATING OUT:
Here’s a few – I’ve been to them all recently.
Bodega 18 :
A newly opened Tapas bar - 3 minutes walk away at 18 Old Bridge Street.
Flourish Cafe:
5 minutes’ walk; Tonkins Ope ; just to the west of the Cathedral entrance.
Excellent for Breakfast and Lunch; every day except Sunday 08:30 to 15:30 hrs.
The Rising Sun:
5 minutes’ walk; Mitchell Hill.
Excellent pub and restaurant – booking essential; closed Mondays & Tuesdays.
Hooked:
8 minutes’ walk; Tabernacle Street; predominantly fish.
The Hidden Hut:
20 minutes’ drive; although I’ve heard that its been very busy indeed lately. There’s an excellent beach at Porthcurnick. Its fun - just go!
