A lovely bright double bedroom in an Edwardian family house. We are in a quiet residential road, centrally located, 5 minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes walk into the town centre.
Comfortable and spacious South-facing double bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet; overlooking the garden.
Shared family bathroom and large kitchen, where you can use all facilities. Two living rooms - one with TV and one without, but plenty of books. Wi fi throughout. Make yourself at home.
I'm an EFL teacher and so I am used to having foreign students in the house. I enjoy meeting guests, but quite happy to leave people to their own peace and quiet - whichever they prefer.
St Albans is a lovely market town with history dating from the Roman times. There is an impressive cathedral and interesting old buildings. The town has plenty of restaurants and pubs with live music, a great park and a market twice a week. Our neighbourhood is quiet and residential, but very close to all amenities.
20 minutes by train into London, St Pancras. You can park in the road with a parking permit, which I can give you.
The house is close to the station (5 minutes walk) and historic centre of St Albans (10-15 minutes walk), as well as easy walking distance to friendly local pubs, restaurants, cinema and nature reserve.
You can have access to all parts of the house.
Interaction with guests
I'll be in and out during your stay and will always be on hand if you have any questions.
Other things to note
This is an easy going household with great access to St Albans and London.
Enjoy our house and respect it as you would your own home.
I'm an EFL teacher for international students and teach mostly at the university near here. I have three grown up children who come and go, one of whom is back out living in Cambodia. Like everyone, I love travelling - especially in Asia, though Iceland was wonderful and I recently got back from visiting family in Italy (which is why l am learning Italian!) I like cinema, theatre and music. We have a great independent cinema just round the corner. Was at Latitude in the summer, but we have great local pubs for music in St Albans too. I've had some lovely guests to stay from all around the world and look forward to welcoming more in the future.
