Our Mongolian yurt sleeps 5 and is very warm with a wood burning stove. In the Peak District hills opposite the Duke of York in Pomeroy, it has an underfloor heated bathroom and additional toilet. Guests bring their own bedding and pillows. Towels provided. Sorry no dogs

The space

Fully equipped with wood burning stove, gas hob, kitchenette with crockery and cutlery, fridge. There is a double futon bed and two/three single mattresses on the floor. The yurt is only 16' diameter so it is quite cozy with five.

Please bring your sleeping bags and pillows. Check out is 10 am except by prior arrangement. Please ask before arrival as it can often be later

Guest access

Guests will share the bathroom with one other yurt

Interaction with guests

We don't live at Street Farm so please drive in to the farmyard opposite The Duke of York and park behind in the yurt parking place. Make yourselves at home in your yurt and I'll come and say hello after you've settled in.

Other things to note

Street Farm is opposite The Duke of York pub on the sharp bend in Pomeroy and the yurts are behind the house. The spacious camping field with both yurts and scenic views are perfect for weddings. Please ask

Great yurt experience

The Yuht is as described and a wonderful experience. There is plenty of space to sit/dine outside the Yuht when weather permits. Great location for walking in beautiful countryside. Rachel is a nice person and only too willing to help - unfortunately unable to meet David. I definitely recommend the experience.

We stayed in the slightly larger and newer yurt which we preferred as it is brighter inside and has a nice view. Although near a main road it didn't really bother us. We like the fact there is a pub over the road but nothing else. The yurt was cosy and toastie warm. We really enjoyed it stay and went walking directly from the Yurt so no need to use the car.

A lovely yurt, in a lovely place. Snug for 5 people but great fun for a stay. Buxton and the surrounding area is fantastic.

Had a cosy night in this yurt with the kids who loved the adventure (the log burner kept us very warm). A great location for exploring this beautiful part of the country - traffic noise from the A515 kept us awake a bit at night but all in all a great stay.

Really cosy space once the wood burner gets going. Perfect location for exploring Derbyshire and Staffordshire. Good facilities; tea, coffee, sugar and washing up facilities etc and a stove to do basic cooking.

We have a dairy farm in the Peak District of Derbyshire with a Bio-Mass Boiler system, and all our milk is made in to Cropwell Bishop Stilton cheese. We have a small and large glamping yurt with a luxury under-floor heated bathroom which is a little bit of the seaside in Derbyshire.
Guests enjoy sitting on the wooden decking having barbecues while looking at our beautiful hills.
Our hobby is wild camping. We camp under cover of darkness anywhere in the Peak District and no-one ever knows we've been there. We especially avoid farmers!
Rachel is also a professional French Horn player and teaches brass at a private school in Staffordshire.
