Thanks to the close proximity to Theresienweise, the apartment in the Ludwigsvorstardt area of Munich is ideal accommodation not just for Oktoberfest attendees. Ludwigsvorstadt is only a short walk away from the city center, including Marienplatz and the Viktualienmarkt market. Taking the U-Bahn from the Poccistraße, Sendlinger Tor and Theresienweise stops means you can reach many other destinations in the city, including the Englischen Garten north of the old town. Karlsplatz Stachus is 7 minutes away.

When we arrived at Christina's place 10 minutes before the check-in time at 5pm, the woman we were told to call to get into the building told us we were too early then hung up on us. We waited on the street with our bags until 5pm and re-called. The woman on the phone told us we needed a room number to tell her which room it was we were renting (we were never given a number). After waiting an additional 15 minutes, the woman and a young man approached us from across the street and started to tell us that the apartment we rented was currently under construction and that we would be given two separate rooms. The two rooms for 5 people were literally smaller than university dorm rooms. One of them had bunk beds with an extra single bed, and the other was literally 4x4m with a broken shower. We never communicated with Christina with the exception of one text giving us the directions to the apartment and the number to call. All-in-all, this was a terrible experience and i would not say here again.

Good for the value and very walkable location. Do not expect to see Faith Hill greet you as your host ;). Needs better linens.

Not bad but it needs more cleaning for the floor and the bathroom is smily and there are many insects. You can get less price at the same building.

We thought the location was fine, it was very convenient to the train station. Building seemed like it was for transitional housing, which felt odd. The dumpster right outside the entrance was off-putting. Also one of the neighbors smoked a great deal which was more of an issue the first night than the second. The room looked clean BUT we could not sleep in the main bedroom because it smelled strongly of body odor. We had to sleep in the other room both nights. The smell did not seem to get better even by the morning we left! I'm not sure where it was coming from, seemed like it was close to the cabinet, but when opened it did not seem to smell in there. Maybe it's the couch as that seemed to smell a bit too. And the bedroom could not be aired out since it does not have a window. I think the place has potential and I would have had a very different experience if we had been able to sleep in the bed. When I did try it out the bed seemed very comfortable.

Christina had to change our accommodations at the last minute so we ended up staying at the Bayer Boarding House which was lovey. Christina transferred our reservation and there was no problem at all. Bayer House was very clean and comfortable. In the summer families should know its in a busy part of time and in the summer adjusting to having the windows open can be loud at night. That's just the nature of their great location, not the service or accommodations. Warm kind service and comfortable clean accommodations!
