Check in time is flexible

Smoking allowed outside in the garden. Not all pets allowed. No cats. No large dogs. No dogs with incessant barking issues.

The house has been completely renovated however the sewer line is 100 years old. Please do not flush anything down the toilet besides human waste and toilet paper. Items that people often flush that have caused the line to get blocked include feminine hygiene products, paper towels, baby wipes, and other items. I hate having to write this but it seems to be a reoccurring problem with guests.

You must also acknowledge
Must climb stairs - 5 or so steps at the entry and 3 steps between the living room and bedroom/bathroom.
Potential for noise - Occasionally, I or my neighbors host parties. Its remarkably quiet considering its urban location.
Pet(s) live on property - I have a sweet little cattle dog who lives with me in the main house. He is a quiet non barker. He does occasionally use the yard.

Asher's place is a great! I highly recommend it. Trust him when he says the street is steep, but that's the charm. The area is eclectic and energetic. People walking their dogs, going to the market, generally living their lives. something you don't get at a hotel. My kids and I genuinely enjoyed our stay there. I give it a 10.

Great place. The hill is very steep (as mentioned in the overview), but easy to mange if you are prepared. Great communication from host.

The stay at Asher guest house was more then we expected. Everything was very organized and it was super easy to check in on your oend. It really do feel like you have your own home and own backyard. Asher has great attention to detail and gave us plenty of suggestions of where to go and eat and shop etc. The guest house has everything you need and more. And you can't ask for a better location. We brought our little dog who loved it here and she had a big back yard to play in. It is also only 2 min drive away from silverlake dog park or you can walk there in 20 min. We highly recommend booking his guest house, you won't be disappointed =)

We loved everything about this place. It was homely and cool at the same time. It's a really good space with a beautiful garden. The street is very steep (and parking requires a certain amount of skill...all good when I discovered where the handbrake on the rental car was!), but you get good views as a result and it's a really nice neighbourhood. If I were to live in LA, I'd pick a spot like this one. Asher replied really quickly to any messages and left us bread, jam and coffee, which we really appreciated. I'd definitely stay again!
