Our newly renovated family townhouse won the 2021 New London Architecture 'urban oasis' award. It has two indoor terraces, one with a cherry tree, a garden & a wildflower roof. It is a few minutes' walk from excellent transport connections (Clapham North/Clapham Common & Clapham Overground) and the wide green space of Clapham Common. The local area is full of restaurants, bars, boutiques & shops and is a perfect base for a family to explore London i.e. Oxford Street is only a 20 tube ride away.

The house has recently been completely restored and extended. It is divided into two parts - the old and new - the sleeping areas are in the old part and the living areas mostly in the new part. Each floor has a bedroom and a bathroom on it and the ground floor has its own separate front door access.

The old part of the house has original floorboards, banisters, and restored fireplaces (non-working). The top floor has a twin room (adult brass beds), a study (room for a double airbed or travel cot) and a family bathroom.

The middle floor has a master suite with superking bed, en suite shower room, guest loo and a snug with sofa and television. The ground floor has a double brass bed with en suite shower room, the playroom with sofa, television and DVD player and utility room. It also has separate front door access.

The kitchen diner and formal sitting room are in the contemporary extension at the back of the house. The dining table comfortably seats 8 but can extend. A wildflower roof sits on top of the extension roof and it has two internal courtyards with doors that open the space into the extension, one of which contains a cherry tree. There are bi-fold doors that open the extension onto the (as yet un-landscaped) garden.

Please note that this is our main family home and, as such, contains our belongings. Whilst we will make an effort to pack away personal photographs and create some space, only the double en suite on the ground floor will have empty cupboards and a wardrobe for guests’ clothing.

We ask that guests respect the fact this is our family home and not a specific property and do not use it for parties or for hosting people who are not guests without prior agreement.

There is an award-winning restaurant (Sorella) and two pubs on the street. Clapham Old Town is a five-minute walk away with all the shops, boutiques and restaurants which give Clapham its buzzy, family-friendly vibe, as is the large green expanse of Clapham Common. Clapham High Street, at the end of the road, has many amenities including a supermarket, banks and a Post Office. There is a well-designed gym with large swimming pool open to non-members at the end of the road.
