Lovely flat in beautiful house 10 minutes from the beaches of Dhermi and Drimadhes. View over olive trees and the sea.
The house has two self-contained flats and this listing is for the 1st floor flat. The whole house can be rented too and it is listed separately.

The space

The house is by the main road and can be accessed by a number of steps from the front door. Please note the steps are quite steep. Also because the house is by the main road, there is noise from the traffic which gets worst at weekends during the summer.
Leading up to the house, there are three terraces with flowers, trees and vegetables that offer relaxing views from the house.
The first-floor flat has a bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed and a patio at the front, outside the bedroom. The flat has a fully functioning kitchen with an electric hob and oven, and fridge. A gas cooker is also available, should it be needed. There is a large dinning table that can sit 6 people.
2 sofas in an L shape are available in the lounge where 2 people can sleep. Up to 4 people can sleep in the first floor.
There is also a toilet, with a WC, walk-in shower (there is no shower tray) and sink.
Outside the lounge/dinning area there is a balcony, with a small table and chairs where you can sit and have a drink, enjoying the sunset. Outside the house on the right there is a patio where you can also dine 'al fresco' and have barbecues.
A set of external stairs leads to the second-floor flat, which has a similar layout. A bedroom with a kingsize bed, a cupboard with storage. A balcony can be accessed from the bedroom. In the lounge there is a dinning table with conformable chairs and a sofa that can sleep 1 adult, or 2 children. We have a portable bed available that can provide sleeping for one more person. Up to 4 adults can sleep in the second-floor flat. A balcony can be accessed from the lounge with a table and chairs. The toilet is similar to downstairs with WC, walk-in shower (no shower tray) and sink.
We have solar panels fitted in the house, which guarantees a regular supply of hot water.

We also have a baby travel cot available. Please let me know if you will need one.

The house is by the main road which is noisy especially during weekends. During the summer there are parties and clubs on the beach and the music can be heard in the house. The best thing to do is to keep window doors and shutters closed.
In the summer there can be issues with electricity as the power can be very weak. This can affect the lighting in the evening (but we have candles), the fridge and the air con (but we have a fan).

The house offers lovely but basic holiday conditions and can work ideally for families with older children and groups wanting to travel, party and don't mind being immersed in a properly Albanian experience.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the first-floor flat, with a kitchen.
If you do not need a kitchen, you can rent the second-floor flat.
The first floor flat has a shower room, with walk-in shower, WC and sink.
Part of the flat is a lovely balcony to enjoy the beautiful view over the sea.
There is a patio area available for barbecues.
Growing flowers and fruit trees will add to the tranquil feeling of the house.

Interaction with guests

The hosts of the house will greet you and give you the keys. When you rent one flat, the other flat maybe occupied.

Other things to note

The minimum booking for the flat or entire house is 2 nights.

It´s a quiet place, but perfect for exploring the costside with the car. A nice and traditional tavern is close. Lauras parents are pretty kind and helpful, so that you feel reallly welcome!

We loved our stay here! It is well equipped for cooking and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay Check in was easy; Laura's parents met us and were upstairs if we needed anything (we didn't, as the place is perfect). There are several outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the view, we loved having meals on the balcony and watching the sun set over the sea. The air conditioning was lovely, although we didn't need it a lot as the place stays quite cool. It's close to several nice beaches by car. Also close to a small supermarket. We had a car and were able to park it by the house. Communication with Laura prior to our visit was great, and had we needed anything, I'm sure she'd have been available. There's no wifi (for us, this was no problems!) but Laura told us several places to get wifi, not that you need it with all the lovely places to explore and enjoy along the coast. We'd absolutely recommend staying here! I hope one day we can visit again!

Great apartment, great stay and lovely hosts-if ever get a chance would definitely go again and stay with this lovely family. On our arrival we were welcomed by ever so kind Laura's parents who helped us with anything we required and made our stay so special. The apartment is in a close driving distance from the breathtaking, must see- Gjipe beach.

We had an excellent stay at Laura's house! The view of the sea was perfect and the flat was clean and comfortable. We had an excellent view of the sea and the flat was a short drive from some beautiful beaches. We recommend driving to Gjipe beach which is really unspoilt (requires a bit of a hike from the car park, but well worth it). We had the flat to ourselves, and in the upstairs flat were Laura's parents who were very hospitable and kind and gave us some great tips.

I wrote two remarks on the house, because we stayed there in two periods. To stay in Laura’s house was an unforgettable experience for our family. The flat is very clean, well equipped, spacious and very lovely in all of its details. The view from the terraces is amazing with the look on the Ionian see and the mountains. The garden around the house is enclosed with fence, so it is a really ideal playground for children. Our sons (8, 12) never have had problems with the stairs, but they liked to sit there to watch the goats and lambs outside. There is a safe parking place for the car, too. We met Laura’s mother, Pinellopi, who is a very-very lovely person and a very kind host. We never had any language problem in our conversations. Because of she we felt us from the very first time like at home. The communication with Laura was every time fluid. She answered all my questions, and was very helpful every time. There are several beaches with crystal clear water near from there, inclusive long and hidden beaches, too. But I must mention that in the region are surprisingly numerous historical monuments from the ancient times, which are really worth to visit. The southern part of Albania is anyhow a paradise for the tourists: the cultural heritage, the mountains, the sea and first of all the very friendly people are the base for that. We absolutely recommend to stay in Laura’s house, but not in the period, when we come back there next year :)

I wrote two remarks on the house, because we stayed there in two periods. Laura’s description of the house and the flats is extraordinary detailed. Frankly to say, I really can’t imagine, how can anybody misunderstand that? The main road can be a bit noisily, especially in the weekend, but only after the beach time in the early evening. But we never closed the windows, as she suggests, we could every day sleep normal. By the way, this noise can’t set together with the noise in the towns of European countries. Yes we have heard some (not loud) music from the beach, but it was every time finished before midnight. Yes, there were issues (2 times) with electricity, but we found it great to light with candles, and it never went on more than a half an hour. We could cook on the electric plates, without any problem. The term “walk-in shower” is new for me, but the thing itself we found really practical. The garden of the house is really wonderful, and for our children it was an ideal place to play outside. First and last I would not say that this house offers basic holiday conditions: it offers, at least for us, great conditions. All in all, it is a very good place to stay on the Albanian Riviera.
