Interaction with guests

I never want to, nor will I impede on your time during your visit; however, if you have any questions or need anything, at any time - before, during and/or after your visit - I am available via AirBnB's messaging system (most effective & quickest), text, and email. Please do not hesitate to contact me, I'll help you all I can! My cell phone number is at the home for your convenience, as well. We have tried to cover everything in our Welcome Binder, and we do have little notes posted through the home where other guests have had questions in the past. We simply want you to feel that you can find whatever you need, or operate any appliance/equipment with ease.

On the day of your checkin I message you when the home is ready, and where we leave the key for easy, convenient checkin. There is no worry about time, you may checkin at your convenience anytime after you receive word the home is all ready for you! Please let me know if you're arriving after dark, and we'll leave the porch light on, and other lights on in the home for you. Plus there are flashlights in the home.

Things happen in the mountains that are out of our control, such as power outages (mostly in winter months, but sometimes summer lightening storms hit causing power outages {really rare but have happened}). We have supplied the home w/lanterns, flashlights (w/extra batteries), a butane burner for heating water, soup, etc., plus our charcoal BBQ if you choose to stay in versus go to a restaurant for meals during a power outage. Our family has done both. We also have a butane table top heater (butane cartridges are suppled), and used on low produce heat for playing games, or reading by lantern light.

Other things to note

~Even though we do not have Twain Harte Lake Privileges YET (we're on the wait list), I can't recommend Pinecrest Lake as an alternative enough. It is a 23 minute drive to the lake, straight up Hwy 108. It is an easy and beautiful drive, and I promise you will not be disappointed. You may visit Pinecrest's website and view their marina rates for renting paddle boards and boats, kayaks, motor boats, and our favorite, the pontoon/party boats. You can fish, hike around the gorgeous lake, and all parking and beach access is free. Again, I can't say enough good and encouraging adjectives to describe how lovely Pinecrest Lake is for spending a day (or more!)! I fully understand the nostalgia surrounding Twain Harte Lake, and the close proximity to downtown Twain Harte, but Pinecrest will offer you a lovely experience!

~Please be honest with the number of guests in your party. All adults and children of any age are considered guests.

~If you'd like to or need to travel with your pet(s), please contact me so that we are aware a pet will be in the home, and how many.

~If you need the use of the highchair and/or the pac-n-play, please let me know before you checkin, and we'll have it in the home for you!

Lovely home. Immaculately cleaned. Beautiful deck with views of towering trees and birds. Short walk to grocery store and downtown shops and restaurants. Lots of things to do just a short drive away and there is a fantastic guidebook to help plan day trips. Extremely relaxing and quiet. The house had everything we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next summer.

This cabin was far and above other cabins we have rented in the Twain Harte area. I would recommend it to anyone wanted to stay there. Gracious host and above average amenities.

We had a wonderful vacation here. The cabin had plenty of space for our family of six plus two Great Danes. A high chair, pack n play, and baby monitor was provided which made our stay so much more convenient without bringing those bulky items with us. We were so thankful to be allowed to bring our dogs as well. There is no secured area to let them out, but we managed. Laura was very kind and offered any help we could have needed. The house is well equipped and we were able to cook meals etc. My older kids LOVED all the games and we enjoyed spending family time together without leaving the home. The neighborhood was quiet and felt private. Restaurants nearby were good and the town was pleasant. This is an older cabin, so naturally there some are basic issues with the house: older carpet in some areas, kitchen drawers a little rickety etc. We did not mind at all, but if your particular about things being in new condition this cabin is not newly renovated. Laura was an excellent host and I highly recommend staying at this location.

Welcome to Peace of Your Harte Cabins in beautiful Twain Harte, CA!
I absolutely love where I live, and I'm delighted to be able to share and help others experience, and explore Twain Harte and the surrounding Motherlode areas.

We have 3 Peace of Your Harte listings.
Our Downtown Cabin, our Lake Cabin and our Romantic Lake Cottage. The Downtown cabin sleeps up to 10 and is a short walk to all downtown Twain Harte shops, dining, activities and events. The Lake Cabin and Romantic Lake Cottage are right at Twain Harte Lake; with just a couple minutes walk you'll be beachside in no time! The Lake Cabin sleeps up to 8, and the Lake Cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway, a small family of 4-5, OR, 2 couples wanting a cozy getaway from the city.
Your pets are welcome! Animals are my world ~ I have 3 dogs who are my best companions in life. Plus, my whole yard is where I care for all of the neighborhood deer, squirrels, birds, and any other sentient being that stroll through.

My entire family & friends are an eclectic bunch! Everyone is welcome through our doors! At our family's cabins we've hosted people from all over the world, from all different backgrounds. Through my own travels I have met and kept in contact with so many fabulous people. My whole goal & wish is to ensure that while you're staying in our cabin during your travels through Twain Harte you experience the kindness, simplicity, and laid back lifestyle that drew me to this wonderful mountain community.

There is so much to see and do in the area! For your convenience I have mapped out certain spots in the area for sightseeing, activities, and dining. Here on AirBnB, simply, click the icons on the map for more information. At the home, there is the printed copy of the Guidebook.

We truly want you to have a wonderful experience in Twain Harte, and in our cabins, please read through our cabins' descriptions, and ask any questions you may have. Laura
