The Hobbit House is set within an orchard along side 3 yurts. Its grass roof and quirky round door entrance are reminiscent of The Hobbit. The Hobbit House sleeps up to 6. There are two handcrafted King size beds (which can also sleep as four singles) for a friends getaway. It also sleeps two singles, so is perfect for large families. A travel cot can also be provided on request.

The space
Take the time to breath in and absorb the nature and surroundings – The birds singing, Butterflies fluttering, The rooster roosting, the breezes rustling through the Orchard.

The Hobbit House is set within an eco friendly organic cider farm. The Yurt and main feature bed have been hand built by us on sight which we call Pink Apple Orchard.

Located in stunning North Leitrim and with Lough Allen in view and walking distance, the area offers adventure, discovery and natural beauty.

Both electricity and candle light is provided along with a wood burning stove. Surrounded by nature you can enjoy the surroundings or browse the information within the communal kitchen for places to visit, explore and see.

Pink Apple Orchard's Organic Cider is made annually on sight and is offered to sample to all who stay at Pink Apple Orchard. More cider can be requested with a 100% donation towards a local charity. (previous charities we have donated to: Make A Wish; children's charity and STOP; mental health awareness Charity. Please note we do not sell alcohol on sight. You can bring your own - BYOB.

The Cider house kitchen is left open 24/7 to help yourself to tea, coffee and sugar. Local Spar, One Stop Shop and butchers are just 5km drive away in 2 near by villages to purchase fresh produce.
Please note - Breakfast Not Provided.

The BBq can be used at any time - Please bring your charcoal.

Wood can be requested up until 9pm for the fire pit and your accomodation if more is required.

The Traditional Pizza oven can be lit and ingredients provided at extra cost for group bookings of 12 and over. N.B It must be arranged and pre-booked 2 days before arrival.

Please note - We do NOT provide Towels, but if you forget yours or you are touring round Ireland we can provide for you, but please arrange when booking.

Bring a book, a guitar and chill by the fire pit or relax within your private Yurt. Gaze at the stars, watch the butterflies, listen to the birds, watch the sunrise...take in nature. Take time to absorb a slower pace of life out of the daily city life.

Dry compositing on toilets on site. Clean Communal facility.

ALL water to Pink Apple Orchard and the reception (our home) is provided from a nearby Spring. Hence pressure for showers/taps may not be as strong as some households.

There is a play area for children to play with parental/guardian guidance.

You will have access to the Hobbit House, your own private eco toilet and hot shower and the area for sitting out side The Hobbit House. In the communla area you will have access the communal kitchen, communal outdoor seating area, fire pit and bbq facilities which are all undercover to suit all weathers. During your stay
There will be someone around on your arrival and departure. We live at Pink Apple Orchard and so there is generally always someone around to help with advice on activities, walks, cycles, drives, places of interest etc. On rare occasions that we are all out (this would only be once customers have arrived and settled in) we would inform anyone staying at Pink Apple Orchard.
