Bernardos apartment was even more beautiful than the photos! Gorgeous old building and close to everything you could need. Also, his friendly little pets were a nice little addition. Helpful with advice specific to what he knew i liked and just pleasant in general!!!! Ripper of an airbnb!

This is a beautiful apartment filled with antiques and curios. The bedroom is beautifully furnished. Bernardo made me feel welcome and helped with logistics. The apartment's location make it easy to walk to old town and many other sites. I would stay here again.

El Quinto Piso is in the city center in at optimal place to see all the wonders of the city. The house is nice and cleaned very well. Bernardo, the owner, is a really hospitable person, every time ready to provide information about his city. He also gave us the breakfast and helped us to go to the ferry. This house, both thanks to its location and host, is truly recommend to live an amazing experience in a beautiful and characteristic city as Montevideo

Bernardo and Gabrielle's apartment is very conveniently located in the Old City, Ciudad Viejo, near the Plaza Independencia. They are wonderful hosts and even though I was busy at my conference and spent little time there, Bernardo tried his best to make me feel at home. There were well behaved cats and dogs that were not at all intrusive. My room was very nicely furnished with lovely antique furniture and the rest of the apartment had very interesting art displayed. The building seemed very secure and was quiet, with only two apartments per floor. The elevator worked well when needed. The balconies from this 5th floor apartment had nice views of the old city and the harbor. Overall this was a great place to hang out for my four day conference and was much cheaper and more comfortable than the conference hotels.

Bernardo was there to welcome me. The apartment was in a great position, up on 5th floor with a balcony all round from where Bernardo pointed out various landmarks. Great air flow through apartment. Fabulously furnished. Very comfortable bed. Lovely relaxed animals (dogs and cats). I was made to feel really welcome. The lift can be temperamental. It always worked on way down but up ..... Well I ended up racing the sensor lights to each floor. The area is old and I was really struck by the number of very derelict buildings. Inner city regeneration has not yet hit. Very close to an excellent bakery and pedestrian area, plazas, museums, although they all seemed to be so discretely signposted you might think they didn't want you to go! None of the signs that I saw listed opening hours, so check online first. Internet connection was good. Pavements were not! I happened to visit when a carnival was on and Bernardo invited me to go with him which I thought was very kind and his local knowledge and thoughtfulness meant I was able to see (I am quite short) and learned some background.

We had a really nice time at this beautiful, tastefully designed + furnished and spacious apartment right in the centre of the old town! Bernardo was a very nice and welcoming host that made us feel at home quickly. We were also allowed to use the bikes to tour Montevideo. We will definitely come back!
