Cozy ground floor studio in classic Berkeley Victorian surrounded by amazing gardens. Quality Queen bed, living room, kitchen/bath, all within walking distance of BART, Berkeley Bowl, Whole Foods, UC Berkeley and more. Comfortable for 2.
The home is owned by a family of artists and the gardens are something to behold: sculpture, koi pond, chickens, bees and the some of the most amazing flora you will see in an urban setting.
Common area with large desk and sofa looks out onto a lovely patio and green foliage. The high-end bed in a small bedroom nook is your cozy place to sleep. Kitchen, shower and toilet complete the amenities that make this a perfect place to stay in the East Bay. Wireless internet included.
This tranquil studio is a true urban oasis. Please be aware that the bantam chickens make chicken sounds all day dawn to dusk. Late sleepers may want to use earplugs. Except for the chickens, it is quiet here.
The studio has its own entrance. You can come and go without disturbing house residents.
Interaction with guests
We are available to check guests in, but we leave our guests alone to enjoy their peace and quiet.
Other things to note
Parking in front of the property is limited to 2 hours on weekdays. Weekends are fine. You can use our 1 car driveway if you have a car.
We expect quiet and courteous guests. Please be VERY quiet after 10pm.
I'm a sculptor, gardener and grandmother. My daughter Sara and I work together to host guests in our Garden Apartment. (My friend Aaron had worked with me on this until recently). We enjoy meeting a variety of people and have hosted people from all over the world.
