Our guests will be simply charmed by this cozy upstairs jewel perched among established trees and lovely neighborhood. The studio is rooted in love and has a whimsical country feel. Our guests will experience a relaxing getaway in our quaint French town where they can stroll into boutiques, museums, and historical homes. Hawn State Park, Hickory Canyon, and Pickle Springs are just a short drive away and offer breathtaking hiking trails. Wineries, each unique, line the countryside.

The space
From the moment you enter The Retreat, we want you to know how special and welcome you are at the studio cottage. We want your stay with us to be a lovely and memorable moment in time.

Cleaning Practices - Rest assured your sheets have been washed and sanitized as well as the blanket and comforter. All surfaces have been sanitized throughout the charming studio cottage. We also open the windows to The Retreat, weather permitting, after our guests leave. The air conditioner and heat are self-contained, so it is not shared with other areas of the structure.

The studio cottage was established 9 years ago. The upstairs area was updated in 2020 into The Retreat. We added a bathroom and outdoor stairs to make a comfy studio for guests to come and enjoy. My husband and I are new at hosting, but we are very seasoned vacation rental guests. We enjoy staying at safe, clean, comfy, and tastefully decorated rentals. We have emulated what we look for when traveling into our charmingly cozy retreat.

You will be sleeping on a Lucid queen memory foam mattress which is perfect for one or two guests. Cozy up to the charming electric fireplace custom built by the woodworker himself. The bathroom is cozily tucked away through French doors and has a spa type feel.

Guests will have free parking in our driveway and independent keyless access to The Retreat. No one lives below the studio cottage, so don't worry about the TV being too loud.

There are outdoor stairs to climb, with no access for wheelchairs. The area behind the cottage has a fire pit and swing just for our retreat guests. Our home is across the driveway; so, if you need assistance, we are there for you.

We also strive to keep the studio cottage as allergy free as possible so that our guests are comfortable during their stay. With that said, we do not allow animals of any kind inside The Retreat.

We prohibit smoking, e-cigarettes, incense, burning of candles, or anything else that will give the studio a strong scent that might impact a future guest.

Our dream has been to open a charming Airbnb which we would personally want to rent. It is our only Airbnb and because we are across the driveway, it is well maintained and cared for.

We are living our dream through our retirement years! I absolutely love hosting!
