The space

A jewel in the middle of the most beautiful southern Zealand nature, lots of tranquility, abundant wildlife and magnificent views of the area. A kind of refuge. Located near Lekkende goods and forest, with deer and pheasants in the garden – in the early summer you have the singing frogs in the pond for yourself. A rare natural wealth that has to be experienced. The house is restored with attention to the original concept and appears completely renovated, but with all the rustic charm of a thatched half-timbered house can offer. The house is heated with a Finnish massoven in the family room, built a few years ago. It also supplies heating to the rustic stone floor. The oven also features a stone oven if you are fresh to bake. Firewood purchased separately. The house is usually heated on arrival in the heating season. The house dates from 1700 and therefore furnished so it stays cool in the summer and good to retain heat in the winter. Here you can get all the best from the country and yet be quite centrally located: Five minutes from exit 40 on the highway, an hour's drive from City Hall Square, ten minutes to Præstø, ten minutes to Næstved, the Bridge to Falster and Lolland is also ten minutes Driving away. Access for guests House and garden all for you, we live in Copenhagen. It accommodates up to 8 persons. Up to 10 guests will be possible, including 2 on futons / sofa on request and only at min. weekly rentals. A little handy, which is good to know.. Reading of electricity and water Electricity and water meter should be checked, as the first you do and the last you do, when you leave the house. 1 kwh costs 1.50 kr. And 1 cubic meter of water costs 25 kr. El distribution box, sits outside the house, just at the entrance from the driveway. The water is read by taking the black "manhole cover" off, at the back of the house out in the far end after the kitchen and the second bedroom. Down in the “well thingy” remove the black cover, read the meter, and mount it again. Linens and towels You are welcome to borrow bed linen and towels, but it is important that you let us know in advance. We are not able to wash. We therefore have a dear cleaning maid, who take care of this. It costs 40 kr. Pr person for bed linen plus a towel. That example 200 kr. For bed linen and towels for a family of five. For us it is pure cost. You are also welcome to even head to the laundry in Vordingborg. Hot water There is limited amount of hot water in the house. An opportunity to get more hot water, is turning up the water heater - 1-2 (behind the door in the small room in the bedroom under the stairs). However, please be aware that the water is very hot, so hot that you can get burned. 1-3 quick baths in a row should be possible. Stove The stove in the house is a Finnish mass stove, not a fireplace or an ordinary stove. This means to be fired up in a completely different way. It is not for fun or ambience, but for getting warmth. It delivers maximum heat 12 hours after you have fired it. In the summer, it should not be necessary. Keep the door open to the Oven while you fire to allow max air in take. Make sure that none of the wood or other in the oven hits the glass - it will smash. Create a large burning fire with plenty of wood and make sure it gets full draught. The damper sits on the chimney and must be open. When the fire is burning well, you can see the flames up in the oven. Do not limit on the oxygen supply to the fire, to make it last longer - it does not work like a normal wood burner. It takes about 10 hours from the first lighting of the cold oven to heat has propagated through the rock and can be felt on the surface and in space. Then, the oven will emit heat at a steady pace. Wildlife in the garden There is abundant wildlife in Lekkende and the surrounding area. You will see grazing deer in the garden, pheasants etc. Especially, if you are an early riser in the morning and do not make too much noise, you will see deer when you look out the windows. Be aware of this when driving in the area, especially in twilight time. There is set up fences around the front yard, to save the roses in front of the house. The fence to the left of the house (between house and outhouse) can be "pulled aside" if you want free passage. Just remember to set it up again. Cooking The stove is an induction one. It is very simple to use. Press your finger on the icon in the center to the extreme left and then select the plate. The pot/pan should be on the top, otherwise it switches off automatically. Have you had pressed the child lock, so that lights up a picture of a lock, press the icon until it disappears. The oven The oven is a fan oven. Set the hot air and the temperature. Then press ok. There will be a beep. Apple trees The old apple trees can not tolerate that you climb them. We will be very happy that I watch over them and the apples that grow on them. If children, it's probably a good idea to tell them. Otherwise, the garden at leisure and play. Internet There is free internet in the house. The code is listed on the router on the back. TV and DVD You can download movies/stream, if you have a computer. There are also a lot of DVDs in the blue cupboard in the "nursery" for free. Some ideas for the area .... The house is the "blacksmith's old house." In the old days, the blacksmith was an important man in the city and therefore the house of a considerable size. Nobody knows exactly how old the house is, but it is about 1750 and probably before. Far out in the countryside, but centrally ... Although the house sits in the countryside, you will find yourself very central. One hour to Copenhagen, 10min to Præstø and Vordingborg, 15 minutes Moenen, 30 min to Næstved, 10 min to the bridge over Falster / Lolland. Stege, Moenen Stege is nice town in the summer and definitely worth a visit. Both if you want to go out to eat or go shopping. The town has several good and original restaurants. We highly recommend foundry / Slagter Stig as an original and different place with good food for the price. On Tuesdays there is throughout the summer Tuesday market. Here comes the island's local artists often and put up booths and it is possible to buy art and handmade stuff. If you drive further out of Stege, there are cliffs. A great natural attraction. You have the option of just walking tour and. Moenen also has the best beaches in the area. We drive themselves to Rytzebæk beach when the weather is nice. We don’t offer Hotel style vacation and everything is not all tidy folded and in the right place, as in a 5 star hotel. This is our house, we used to live here, not we use during vacations and summertimes. However the house is always cleaned on arrival and after, but if you suffer from cleaning anxiety, be prepared to clean/dust during your stay. The house is in some area not that high, I am 1.85 and have to duck sometimes, if I want to keep my beautiful face intact . Lowest point in the house is the kitchen 175-180 cm. We do hope you enjoy your stay, and feel free to use everything in the house, just let us know if you break some things, it is so irritating to find out afterwards.

Interaction with guests

You have the whole house as well as the reason for an apartment. A little practical, which is good to know ... below is part of the English version above. Reading of electricity and water Remember, remember, remember ... .Eel and water must be read as the first thing you do and as the last when you leave the house. 1 kwh costs 1.50 kr. And 1 cubic meter of water costs 25 kr. Electricity is read in the electrical cabinet, which is located outside of the house, right at the entrance from the driveway. The water is read by taking off the black "well cover" that is located on the back of the house next to the window into the "children's room". Down in the well there is a small cover, it must be tilted aside and the number can be read. Linens and towels You are welcome to borrow bed linen and towels, but it is important that you let us know in advance If you have not arrived by mail, send sms to (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). We do not have the opportunity to wash. We therefore have a nice cleaning aid that takes care of this. It costs 40 DKK per person for bed linen plus a towel. Ie For example, 200 SEK for bed linen and towels for a family of five. For us it is clean cost. You are also welcome to take the walk past the laundry in Vordingborg and have it washed. Do you choose to borrow and let our cleaning aid Lise wash it, then put it out in the hallway in a pile before leaving the place. Hot water There is limited hot water in the house. Therefore, it is recommended to save on the hot water when you are more than you should. Also, be careful not to screw too much up the shower as much water is poured out. Nice, but not for the next, you're going to pray. One option to get more hot water is to turn up the water heater - from 1 to 2 (behind the door in the small room in the bedroom under the stairs). However, you should be aware that the water is burning hot, so hot that you can burn it. However, it does last longer. masonry stove The oven in the house is a Finnish stove, not a fireplace or a common wood-burning stove. This means that it must be fired in a completely different way. It's not for cosiness, but to make warmth, or else it just suits you. It gives maximum heat 12 hours after fired it. During the summer period it should not be necessary. Keep the lid of the ash tray open while firing. Lighthouse no more than one hour a day with a large fire of firewood. Make sure none of the fire or anything else in the oven hits the glass window - it will smash. Let firing be at the top of the pile. The fire must not stand and "simmer" but enjoy air and "futtes off". The damper is located on the chimney and must be open. When the fire burns properly, you can see flames all the way in the baking oven. Do not save on the oxygen supply to make the fire longer. You should not use it in a mass furnace. It takes about 10 hours from the first ignition in the cold furnace until the heat has propagated through the rock and can be felt on the surface and in the room. Then the oven will heat up at an even pace. Wildlife in the garden There is a rich wildlife in Leekkende and the surrounding area. You will experience grazing deer in the garden, pheasants, etc. Especially if you are early in the morning and do not make too much noise, you will see dead animals when you look out of the windows. Also pay attention to this when driving in the area, especially during dusk. Unfortunately, many animals are killed on the roads in the area. Fences have been set around the front yard to save the roses in front of the house. The fence to the left of the house (between houses and outbuildings) allows you to "pull aside" if you want free passage. Just remember to set it up again when you travel again. Stove The stove is an induction hob. It is very easy to use. Press the finger on the center icon to the left and select the plate to be heated. The pot must be on the plate, or it will automatically turn off. Have you pressed the child lock so that a picture of a lock is lit, then press the icon until it disappears. The furnace The oven is a hot air oven. Set the warm air and the temperature. Then press ok. There is a beep and then the oven is running. apple trees The old apple trees can not tolerate climbing them. We will be very happy to look after them and the apples that grow on them. If you have children, it's a good idea to tell them. Otherwise, the garden is at your disposal and play. There is a stream around a part of the garden, but is dry in summer. City street street and children The pond or streetcar is in town is "child-proof". It is filled with stones, so there is often only 15 cm of water, depending on the season. There are frogs in the pond and throughout the month of June they sing. Internet It's free Internet in the house. The code is on the back of the router. TV and DVD You can download movies and TV over the internet if you have a computer with. There are also a lot of DVDs in the blue closet in the "children's room" for free use. There are movies for adults and children alike. Some tips for the area .... The house you live in is "the old house of the smith". In the old days, the blacksmith was an important man in the city and therefore the house is of a considerable size. Nobody knows how old the house is, but it's about From 1750 and probably before. Far out of the country, but centrally located ... Although the area is far out of the country, you are very central. Stege, Møn Stege is a nice city in the summer and definitely worth a visit. Both if you want to eat or shop. The city has several good and original eateries. We highly recommend Støberiet / Slagter Stig as an original and different place with good food for the price and Møns Madhus, which has an unbeatable location and superb food. The prices both places are very reasonable. There are many other eateries. This was just to emphasize a few. On Tuesdays there is a whole Tuesday through the Tuesday market. Here the island's local artists often come up with stalls and it is possible to buy art and handmade items and cases. If you drive further out of Stege, there is Møns Klint. A great nature worth. Here you can go for a walk and / or visit Geocenter Møns klint. Møn also has the best beaches in the area. We drive to Rytzebæk beach when the weather is there. Read more here: (HIDDEN URL) Walk and beautiful scenery If you want to go for a walk, you have to go for a hike through ugly forest. Go up to Leaking Goods (the yellow goods you can see from the house). When you get past the entrance to the estate and across from the yellow thatched house in the "hole" that the locals call "the laugh", there is a dirt road into the woods along the lake. Here you can walk along the lake and see the small town Ugledige from the other side. Purchase If you need to buy some small items, there is Ugly Use in Ugly, approx. 2 km away. Ugly Uses have a cheese cellar and are you for cheese, they are worth a try. You must tell the shopkeeper that you want to buy cheese and you will be shown down in the cheese cellar. Lidt praktisk, som er godt at vide… below is part of the English version above.

Varmt vand

Masseovn

Dyreliv i haven

Komfur

Internet

Læs mere her:

Other things to note

The house can only be heated by a stove and wood stove upstairs. On arrival during the heating period there will be preheated via oil radiator. Firewood can be purchased separately. Electricity is read before and after and is paid according to consumption. In the period June - September there is internet at your request. There are many movies and DVD available. The house is plastered, situated in the countryside and has thatched roof, it will all the more create more insects and need for cleaning, so you can expect to clean yourself during the period if you want it cleaned clinically. In some places the house is low-ceiling again due to the fact that the house is from the 1700's.

We had a nice stay at this charming house. It has a big garden. You can easily go by train to Copenhagen (1hr) to visit Tivoli or to wander around in the city. Also Møn is worth visiting.
