Lovely part of South Australia and a fun place to stay! A good base from which to explore the Peninsula. By the time we'd had several communications with Kathryn, we felt as if we knew her and that continued after our arrival as we had so much in common. Kathryn and Geoff were warm and welcoming and we shared two evenings together. Thanks so much, both of you - and for the birthday present! Hope to see you in the west some day. Cheers, Sandy and Barry

" Firstly thanks to Katherine and Geoff to play a perfect host and make our trip a memorable one. Now on the house and the place. The place is picture perfect and you can gaze the sea from the backyard in day time or watch the milky way in the night and chat endlessly with the beautiful host for any thing under the sun. They have their veggie spot and we were lucky to get some mulberries, picked with love and care by Geoff and Kat. Geoff is a wonderful cook i must say and was pretty generous to invite us over dinner. We had endless talks and good food. Mind you this is not a 5 star hotel spot but the place is quite neat and clean and all the necesarry stuff has been provided by owners. Yes this is an off beat locations and would appeal to nature lovers and peace seekers alike. The host are very charming and are always happy to help with a huge smile. There is only one bad part which is leaving the place at the end of the stay with a craving for more. Love you guys and would be sure to come back some day." Gaurav, Kanchan and Jaydeep

Even though we met Kathryn and her partner for a little time, my husband and I can sure that they are warm-hearted hosts. I can't foget friendly their cats, cozy blankets, full of star - night sky on the hill, and Kathryn's caring texts. Her place is so near to Cape Jervis so very convenient to travel to Kangaroo Island.

I am an artist & author. I have a PhD (Communications) from the University of South Australia. My PhD topic was family history in colonial Indonesia, (c.1807 - c. 1957). I am born in Australia and I identify as a member of the Indo (Dutch-Indonesian) diaspora in Australia. I also have an interest in Jewish culture because of my maternal grandfather, whose family came from Austria and Poland. Last year, I traveled with my husband to 10 countries, including USA, Canada, Britain, Republic of Ireland, Wales, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Singapore. We stayed in AirBnB accommodation in New York and in Montreal.

My favourite cities are Yogyakarta, Prague and Brussels. My favourite town is Fishguard on the Pembrokeshire coast of Wales.
