The Gîte is a beautiful open plan space. The double bedroom sits above on the mezzanine level and there are also two single beds in a compact room through the main bedroom area.

In the day please enjoy the pool area (May-September) and the gardens to relax and unwind.

The space
The gîte has an open plan living room on the ground floor with a bathroom. A narrow spiral staircase leads up to the mezzanine double bedroom. Bed: 135cm x 190cm

The well-equipped kitchen includes a hob, fan oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

Please note: the spiral staircase is quite narrow and steep. An original beam (height: 140cm) crosses the room as in the photo - Watch out for your head!

Challignac - A very small, quiet village is within walking distance. The village is surrounded by vineyards and in June and July you can enjoy the beauty of the sunflower fields.

Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire - 10 minutes by car. Shopping, restaurants, cafes and a large supermarket. A beautiful and historic town with a market twice a week.

Angoulême - 30 minutes by car (Angoulême to Bordeaux by train 1 hour).

Cognac - 30 minutes by car. Superb shopping. Shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.

In September 2020, we moved to France and are really excited to join AirBnB as hosts for the first time. We have travelled extensively with AirBnB and now hope to be able to create incredible experiences and memories for others. We're really looking forward to welcoming you to our gîte or guest suite at Le Petit Tournesol.

After a 22 year career in aviation, David is now learning French and will be running the AirBnB. James speaks English and French and splits his time between France and London.

Nous avons beaucoup voyagé avec AirBnB et espérons maintenant pouvoir créer des expériences et des souvenirs incroyables pour les autres.
