Brenda was the loveliest host. The location was amazing, and the BNB was beautiful. Plus we had butter tarts waiting for us, so who could ask for more?

Very clean cottage, great for a weekend getaway where you want to hike and explore the outdoors. Brenda was extremely hospitable! Cottage is a bit sparse on furniture and could use blinds for privacy but there is a lovely view of the river as well to enjoy.

Response from Brenda:
HI Carly - thank you for your lovely visit. Carly, not to be defensive, but just how much furniture do two people need? The studio has 3 normal chairs, a rocking chair, a full sofa, a stool, a kitchen table and a computer table, a chest of drawers and every amenity you could think of in the way of appliances in the kitchenette. There are extra sheets and blankets, and even dog sheets, and extra pillows and afghans for extra warmth. Upstairs, in the loft/sleeping area there is a hill and a fairly dense forest between you and the road. People would have to fly, be mountain climbers or be very good jumpers to see in those windows. Downstairs there are French Doors, with windows that would be seriously reduced by any kind of curtain, and a few normal windows on the far side of the studio - but this is not a sleeping area, and no -one goes back there after dark, except the odd coyote, raccoon, wolf or bear. I have no neighbors nearby - so the next time you come, please simply enjoy the moon and the stars and hopefully the fireflies after dark, and don't worry - they don't want to look in!

Response from Brenda:
Thank you for your kind words! Just to correct any mis-impressions, the studio cannot even be seen from the road and a hill, higher than the studio, and a forest of pine and mixed hard wood prevent any intruders from seeing in windows. Many people do not even realize the building is there. If you had curtains, the moon and the stars would be blocked out. Unfortunately, even the most beautiful curtains block the light as they hang on the side of the window - and many of my guests enjoy feeling as though they are outdoors while they are in the studio.
