Wendy's place is great and we were lucky to stay. It is perfectly situated on the parkway, literally 300 metres down a driveway. The farmland around is lovely and great for a walk. Floyd is only a 20 minute drive away and has a great supermarket, if you decide to eat in, restaurants, and some bars. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster oven, and a hot plate. Wendy's pottery is the crockery and it is fantastic to use. The bathroom is spacious and the bedroom is roomy and quiet. Overall, the place is very nicely appointed and Wendy is very friendly and helpful. We strongly recommend a stay at Wendy's place when travelling down the Blue Ridge. Richard and Helen

I’m not usually one to be left speechless but upon arriving to Wendy’s place- that’s how we found ourselves. Nestled against a beautiful farmscape, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway - we quickly realized we weren’t going to want to leave anytime soon. Though our stay was only one night while passing through, we found ourselves immediately feeling like we were in the comfort of a well cared for and loved home, like we’d wan to provide to others. This made us feel proud to have chosen this spot. The vibe is warm and inviting, the rooms (including the bathroom) spacious and spotless - the property serene and welcoming. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. We were able Ron make dinner and breakfast during our stay and did so with ease. Electric hotplate, toaster oven and new pots and pans made this a breeze. The handmade pottery throughout Wendy’s space was not only beautiful but also incredibly functional. as an artist, I loved that she had pieces that represented not only her own line but that of various other artists. Honestly- as I write this- I am wishing I were still there, listening to the sound of the cows across the dewy hillside and watching the swallows flicker in and out of the barn at the adjacent property. (Is this getting too long?) You should get the point by now that this experience was an incredible way to end our 9 day road trip and by far the most delightful AirBnB experience we have had to date.

Wendy is a gracious host and her furnishings are tasteful. I loved the two friendly kitties and the quiet lane for taking a long walk through woods. The bedroom had a nice cross breeze and the bed was very comfy. What a treat to have her porcelain ware in the kitchen and here and there about the place. Any cooking is limited to the microwave.

Response from Wendy:
Sorry Lori I thought I pointed out the toaster oven and cook top that are there for cooking use other than the microwave. I will put one of my pour over funnels back there for smaller batches of coffee. :)

Wendy's place is great. Located just s few hundred ft off the Blue Ridge parkway and easy to find. The setting is among the rolling, pastured hills of the southern Blue Ridge in Floyd. It is a private apartment attached to her home with Lots of room, and well appointed. She has a great eye and has tastefully decorated the whole space with nice art and much of her own work. The rooms are bright and airy, The bed was cozy and firm. Everything was imaculate. Plenty of nice soft towels as well as a nice little kitchenete. The whole place is fairly large, 3 big rooms with a private entrance. Wendy is a great artists as well as asuper host. This was truly one of the best Air BNB experiences ever.

Wendy's airbnb was a perfect getaway for us while on vacation. The location is super convenient and you cannot ask for a more serene setting. The windchimes allowed us to truly unwind on Wendy's upper porch. The hammock was a terrific reading spot with the added benefit of having one of her beautiful kitties come to visit while there. Everything was spotless, with loads of amenities, a refrigerator and a kitchen area for breakfast and even one dinner. There is plenty of light, and windows creating a cool breeze at night; the queen bed was comfortable for the 2 of us, with loads of pillows, dressers for our clothes, outlets for our gadgets, and absolutely no noise. The water was clean and hot when needed and the shower had plenty of water pressure. Wendy is also a potter and has a gallery on site where I was able to buy a beautiful vase to bring back home as a souvenir. Don't hesitate to look at the lovely pottery she has to sell. She was very accommodating to us, while not being overbearing. One night we even got a chance to try her Fried green tomatoes, which were delicious. We could go on and on about the pleasures of Wendy's place, but go see for yourselves and definitely do not hesitate to book a stay with her. Nancy and Bruce
