My experience at Diamond In The rough guess house was one of the most memorable and enjoyable vacation I ever had. marline treated me like family, once I checked in I received from marline and Mr brooks my very own bottle on jelly coconut water man it was so good, the guess house in very clean and hot cold running water, kitchen, bathrooms are very big and specious clean and nice, if you are looking for a safe jamaica experience, this guess house offers that it's sitting on a hill overlooking the ocean, the most spectacular scenery, waking up to most beautiful sunrise, this guess house is a hidden gem a real diamond, it is located in Rural Hill the people in that area don't bother you, they are very friendly, they have little shop in the area for you to buy soda bottle water what ever you need, marline and Mr brooks are the perfect host they are there at you beck and call, they are not pushy, you know that they are there but you don't see them unless you need them the place e is well maintained it's a home away from home, Mr brook has a big farm he invited me to take a tour just didn't get around to doing that this time but I will be back, this guess house in central to beaches, close to the blue lagoon, and minutes away from Boston jerk center and port antonio. I love this guess house, marline and mr. Brooks are my new family

As this was our first Airbnb experience, it could not have been better. :-) Marline is a wonderful host, she is very friendly, considerate and an amazing chef. On my first day she showed me around her farm and introduced me to her friends and neighbours. Everybody is very nice around here. The room looks even nicer than on the picture, the beds are comfortable and the view from the balcony/rooftop is awesome. The kitchen is well-equipped, besides cooking pots, essentials (spices, oil, ...) and a huge fridge you will also find a coffee machine and fresh roasted coffee beans, a water filter machine as well as a toaster. What made us very happy too: A nice soundsystem, where you can listen to radio, cds or just input your device for some nice music. Furthermore, Marline responds to requests/bookings really fast. So if you have a question, don't hesitate to ask her. She lives 1 minute from the guesthouse away and also sells ice to the school children, so you are not far away from a little refreshment. We went from Kingston (450J$/person) via Port Antonio (250J$) with the route taxi all up the hill, the journey was straight forward and we got off just in front of Marline's guesthouse. We called Marline in Port Antonio and she told the driver where to go exactly, so it was very easy. It is also possible that Marline arranges private transport to a good price. Her lovely friend Wolsey has a special vehicle, you have to take - at least a short - ride with at some point, I have never seen before something like that. ;-) My friend and me wanted to stay for 2 nights, but were are staying 4 because we are so satisfied. If we would have more time, we would even stay longer ;-) We will miss our new friend Marline as well as the other nice people we met, just to name a few: Cool Tamara and her smart daughter Brenda, kind Wolsey and always smiling Shadow Man. We hope we can come back to Rural Hill. It is a very special place in Jamaica with very special people. Highly recommended by two young people who have seen quite a lot of Jamaica and the rest of the world. :-)
