Hannah is extremely nice and would go out of her way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The place is exactly as advertised. It is old and you definitely notice that right away (eg. the bathtub is chipped) but the look doesn't really interfere with the experience and the house is overall well-maintained. The room is spacious and provides beyond basic amenities. The neighborhood is residential and vibrant with cool local stores and activities. It is on several bus lines so moving around is easy.

I very much enjoyed my short stay at Hannah's house. It was exactly what I was looking for--in the center of Historic Greenbelt, in one of the original 1930s houses, staying with a longtime resident who didn't mind talking about what life was like there. We had a really cool conversation on that, more than I could have hoped for. The location is great--It's only about a five-minute walk to the main area of shops, Roosevelt Center. Buses stop within that 5 minute walk too, so it's great if you don't have a car, although I did use a car service to get to the metro stop because I was running late. I enjoyed Hannah's down-to-earth personality and lack of pretentiousness. She was a good host, going out of her way to make sure my room had ample air-conditioning that I could set at my comfort level. She also let me use a little of her soymilk for my granola in the morning, which was very nice. The bed was comfortable, and the house clean, with a definite lived-in vibe that I was fine with. The only negative was that it took me quite a few tries to get the key turned correctly to open the door. I should note that I was checking in earlier than the official time, and I was grateful to be able to do that so I could drop off my bags. Once I figured it out, it turned and opened easily; just be sure to do an extra turn counter-clockwise (I think)!

Hannah was a lovely host. She was always a friendly face when I returned home at the end of the day and provided a clean and comfortable living space during my stay. Her home was also very close to a number of places to eat; it was nice to explore Greenbelt via foot in the evenings. Overall I had a great experience.

Hannah was a very courteous host. She was always making sure that I was comfortable with the accommodations. The location is really amazing. Very close to the bus stop, farmer's market, restaurants, and grocery store. Would definitely recommend!

The experience went very well. Hannah was very warm, welcoming, courteous, and kind. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and there are a couple restaurants and a grocery store just a quick walk away, in case you forget to buy something for dinner. The location was ideally situated for anyone traveling to University of Maryland or NASA. Taking the metro into the District usually costs around $14-15 a day if you park at the station, but you can save a couple dollars by taking the bus, which runs regularly through the neighborhood. There are also a lot of different wooded tails for running or walking (probably biking too, but I don't bike).
