Cozy bedroom w/ double futon bed, hammock and private bathroom. Easy access to main city bus lines downtown. 20-minute walk to subway (Vila Madalena station) Calm neighborhood, arborized, scenic view, street market on thursdays on the same block.

The space

My place is a 120m² apartment, with a comfortable living room (with a dining room table), a kitchen, laundry, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. You will have a confortable bathroom for yourself. The room I'm renting has a double futon bed, and a hammock. I work in the third room. There is a street market on thursdays on the block behind the apartment, where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables and groceries in general. There's a supermarket 750m from the house and there's also a beautiful park. The apartment is on the 18th floor and the view of the city is amazing! The neighbourhood is in a green part of the city!

Guest access

To enter the building, just present yourself to the doorman. He is present 24 hours a day. It's a family building.

Interaction with guests

Most days of the week I work at home, but I will always be available for any information needed.

We strongly recommend Ana's room. The accommodation is perfect with a modern, clean and comfortable private bathroom and kitchen. Moreover Ana is really the kind of hostess you dream to meet ! She's very helpful and discreet at the same time and it's really a pleasure to talk with Ana in French or in English. She's very much interested in arts, worldwide, and happy to give her guests tips and informations about exhibitions in Vila Madalena and Sampa.

Ana's apartment is spacious, airy and inviting with lots of light during the day. The views from the windows in all directions are beautiful with ever changing skies. Waking up to this view was a lovely way to start my days in São Paulo. The bus is 5 minutes away and the metro Vila Madalena about 10 minutes in the same direction, both of which are quite close considering the scale of things in the city of São Paulo. This makes it easy to get around without having a car. Anyways, to get around on street level in São Paulo, bring good shoes and be prepared to walk till your feet hurt =) - Taking a taxi is also an easy and fairly safe way to get around (I used the Taxi99 app for Android and was very happy with this). Ana works at home some days a week, but was typically around for a chat in the mornings and evenings - she helped me out by letting me borrow a power plug adapter (Brazil uses both north-american flat prong and european-type two-pin plugs at 110-120V), and by explaining the way to some points of interest. Her english is pretty fluent and I also speak portuguese, so having a conversation was easy. Ana's wifi connection works well and the peace and quiet during the daytime allowed me to relax and read, and also get some work done. The bedroom is a decent size for 1 person or a couple with some luggage. The bathroom is spacious and has a spot of that wonderful 18th floor view from the shower. Both rooms were nice and clean when I arrived and I kept them in this state throughout my stay. The kitchen is well equipped with everything I needed to make my own food. It also has a dishwashing maching making it easy to clean up afterwards. Although I ate dinner out most days, I kept my breakfast foods and some late night beers in the fridge. Overall staying at Ana's place was a charm. Coming from a much smaller city in Europe, São Paulo seemed noisy and chaotic in the beginning - so coming home to Ana's apartment in a calmer, more residential area was a relief after a long day on the streets. Coming and going from the apartment is easy as there is a doorman downstairs 24/7 (there are several shifts during the day, so make sure that you are introduced to them so that they'll recognize you when you come home at night). I also got my own key to the door to the apartment. To keep in touch with Ana, SMS and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) works well (I got a prepaid SIM-card with 4G coverage from TIM). This is my first stay with Airbnb and I'm very pleased with the way things worked out - be a nice guest and you'll get a nice host is my philosophy.
