MY Beach House is located on the most beautiful beach cove of the Pacific Coast, Remanso Bay, close to San Juan del Sur area, only 6 km from center of the town. This 1700 sq. ft. beach house will provide you with all the comfort during your vacation and only 100 meters to a beautiful beach.
WiFi Internet, Claro TV and free of charge Magic Jack tel. connections to US and Canada are also provided.
My Beach House was constructed to resemble local Nicaraguan architecture. Exposed roof beams, guanacaste and cana ceilings in all rooms, big ceramic tiles throughout the house. Very colourfull kitchen has two islands and it's fully equipped with all you may need to prepare your meals. You may, for a small fee, ask my employee Flor to cook the meals for you, she is a great cook. The island bar has a stunning view of the ocean while eating.
You can listen to the ocean while on the terrace, day and night.
All the windows and doors are rustic and were made by hand on site. All windows have mosquito nets. For more comfort, during a hot weather, bedrooms are equipped with AC. Please keep all the windows and doors closed while using AC. Electricity in Nicaragua is very expensive.
The guests will have an access to the whole house. Except the bodega/laundry room. My guests can request their laundry to be done by Flor for a small fee.
Directions, on how to get to the house will be provided to you at the time of confirmed reservation.
Interaction with guests
I might or might not be present, at the house next door, during the stay of my guests. I do have two employees, Flor and Francisco, who will be attending daily routines around the house and your possible requests. My employees do not speak English so a knowledge of Spanish would be an asset or just use your hands and smile... Remember you are on vacation, do not stress, relax.
Other things to note
Please remember that energy is very expensive in Nicaragua. While not in the house, please turn off all the lights. Please use the AC when it is really necessary. The cost of using the A/C is $10.00 per day. This amount will be deducted from your damage deposit at the end of your stay.
The house has many windows with the mosquito nets, that provide a great cross ventilation and it is very comfortable to sleep at night with the wind and ceiling fans turned on.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house, only outside. Ashtrays are available.
Guests with pets are welcome, but please take full responsibility for your animals, please do not allow your pets to sleep on beds.
Please remember that upon your arrival you will be asked for US$300 refundable damage deposit in cash, which will be refunded to you, pending no damage has been done, upon your departure.
Please be advised, that the cost of electricity in Nicaragua is the highest in Central America, therefore we have no choice but charge our guests for the use of A/C. Guests who will use the A/C will be deducted US $25.00 per week or US$5.00 per night (if stay is less than a week). Most of the time the A/C is not needed at all. The house has windows with mosquito nets in every room. If you keep them open at night the cross ventilation and outside breeze/wind will cool the house down at night and you will have a very comfortable sleep.
I would greatly appreciate if my guests treat my employees with respect.
They will be at your service during your stay and they would greatly appreciate your recognition in a form of gratuity at the end of your stay.
My husband Erik and I live in Ottawa, Canada. We both share the same passion for traveling. We have traveled to many countries and have seen many beautiful places. Many years ago we decided to open our Nicaraguan beach house to our guests and just recently we made a decision to open our house in Ottawa to welcome our guests, too. In our house in Ottawa, we will have a chance to meet our guest and host them personally but in Nicaragua, this is not always possible. While not in Nicaragua, our beach house and our guests are looked after by our devoted employees who make sure that our guests are very comfortable.
