Tucked behind the main house in a quiet part of town, this casita is only a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Santa Fe Plaza and just blocks from cafes/restaurants, natural grocers, parks/pool, tennis/basketball courts and the Santa Fe River and hidden gems to discover.
We use AirBnB's suggested daily pricing, weekly discount (20%) and monthly discount (30%).
The main house has been completely renovated and is now also on AirBnB. The houses are completely separate, each with its own outdoor space.

The space

The space is around 300 sq feet, so it's small, but it is a completely separate unit from the main house and every square foot has been used beautifully. There's a queen sized pillow top bed, comfy couch, dining/work table, shower and toilet, a small gas oven/stove, a MP3/CD/cassette player and a 32" flat screen t.v. and a small fridge in this lil' space and still room to kick your feet up with a friend or partner. The free wifi takes up no space at all, so you're always a keystroke away from the next plan of action.

Also, to answer a reoccurring question, the pic with what looks to be an inverted window shade on the ceiling is just that. I put an adjustable shade over the skylight opening, so you have the option to flood the room with beautiful New Mexican daylight, or if you wish to sleep in for example, you can close it tight for a cool darkness.

Other things to note

The main house is now renovated and on AirBnB (under Honey House) and we allow pets in this house, as there is a lovely dog run with direct access through a custom doggy door from the sun room. This means that there will occasionally be pets on the property that we have not yet met, but they should only have access to the enclosed dog run and should not be a bother.

Sweet little casita well-located in a quiet neighborhood. Loren and Madelyn are a wonderful young couple and we totally enjoyed meeting them. Easy access and just minutes to everything in Santa Fe. Would stay again!

This place was exactly as described. Great utilization of the space. Madelynn and Loren are both very nice people. Short walk to a great breakfast and lunch place called the Tune-Up, thanks guys for the recommendation. Every place we wanted to go was only a short drive. Loved the central location.

The casita is such a charming place to stay - cute, private, homey, cozy and compact but without compromising on amenities or a nice queen-size bed! Very comfortable for two people. The hosts were quick to respond, communicative and easy-going. Check-in and check-out was simple. The location is in a nice, authentic Santa Fe neighborhood (adobe everywhere!), not far from the Plaza (10-minute drive) and everything else you could possibly want to do in town. There's one delicious eatery, The Tune-Up Cafe, within walking distance. We even spent a day at the casita just watching movies on the flat-screen TV. We didn't use the kitchen to cook, but one could easily save on expenses by making one's own meals. The compactness of the casita reminded me of some apartments in Europe where you have everything you need in a compact (but not too small) studio, where there's no wasted space. Zero complaints about our stay -- highly recommended!!

This was a spotlessly clean, cozy casita. We loved the bright colors, skylight, coffee makings, great bath towels, etc. It was nice having an air conditioner as it was warm when we visited Santa Fe. The unit is small and it's nice having a table and chairs outside on the patio surrounded by gardens. Although we used our rental car, it would be an easy walk to restaurants, etc. and probably a good twenty minutes to walk to the plaza. Madelynn and Loren's casita was a great place for us to stay!

Madelynn And Loren have created such a darling little place! The casita was within walking distance to the plaza and the railyard. We will definitely be back to stay and would certainly recommend this rental to anyone!

This cozy casita is just as advertised. Compact but comfortable. I felt safe. The wi-fi was a bit in and out which was frustrating but i was out and about most of the time. Air conditioned and a very friendly kitchen. It was perfect for me!

Our love is deep and true. Together we have created a cozy place to raise our little grrrl Parker and have a loving home for our daughter Ceryn to stay in when visiting from Middlebury College in Vermont.

Madelynn is the property master creating the environment that so many guests/friends/family have enjoyed. Air BnB allows Madelynn to have an income and be a full time mom and we both love that. Madelynn has been so much more than just a mom, a wife and a host in her life that it would take pages to get through her brilliance as a daughter, sister, student, artist and plain ol' hard working force of nature. Suffice to say, you'll be happy you met her.

I (Loren) work in the film and television industry through our Local IATSE 480 film union. Though this work takes up most of my life at this point in time, my joy is found in the time I spend with my wife, daughters, family and friends.

We are working hard to have an amazing life and part of that amazingness is found in the smiles and conversations of the many travelers that we have had the honor to host and sometimes befriend.

If you've just read these short paragraphs, you just may be the next traveller we get to meet. Thank you for checking in on us and we hope to make your acquaintance soon.
