Ideal for in-laws and grand parents. They need comfort and amenities. No stairs. Next to the bus stop, shops and (URL HIDDEN) check in - out time. We are a home and understand your needs. We prefer ethically correct people and ecological minded people (light foot print on our earth).
2 bedroom modern flat fully furnished with views on Sydney skyline and fitted with all modern facilities. Near USYD, RPA, organic market, cafes.

The space

It's a home rather than an investment. We commute from Bellingen there for our work. Ideal for people who love comfort, a home feel, ethnic food, a few train stations from Central and CBD.
We have meditation cushions, mindfulness colour books so you can unwind, yoga block and mat... There are a few yoga studios 5 minutes from here.
We invite you to offset your carbon (flight or car) and invest in doing the right thing for the next generations. Please contact us before booking as we also use this home for work commute. Thank you.
Feel free to ask for check in-check out time due to your flights requirements. Most of the items are from overseas trips. As my parents are from France, most of the kitchen items have been brought over from France! Bon appetit!
We supply organic, non animal tested shampoo-conditioner and all the cleaning product are grey safe.
It's in the middle of Marrickville, near Enmore Newtown. So if you expect a countryside silent retreat with birds, it s the wrong town. It's Sydney and it s busy and noisy. The unit has double glazed windows so it's a great noise insulation.

Guest access

Guests need to pick up electronic keys from a friend also based in Marrickville. We will text your the pin code to pick up the keys. We don't have set and strict time as it's a home and not a business. We believe in trust and love our returning guests.

Interaction with guests

We are a phone away if you have any questions. (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). We love texts so we can keep in touch.

Parking: access parking on Victoria road with the electronic pass. Park at no 12. Thank you.

Other things to note

We have listed this unit on Other sites and (website hidden) as well and the calendars don t sync, so please check with us for your booking.

We have wifi for stays which are longer than a week. We will leave you a wifi device and password. 1 Gig per week. From experience, it will be enough for email browsing etc... definitely not enough for video streaming etc. Please be aware of internet limits. Thank you. If you need to top it up please let us know. ($30 additional).

We have a portable air con and heaters. The place is well insulated (passive heating). The block of apartment has won an award for ecological architectural design. Please don't dry your laundry in the balcony. We have left laundry detergent (no phosphate) for you to use. The strata and neighbours are VERY strict about it and it s a fine of $AUD5,000!!.

This apartment, the location and the host are all faultless! The apartment is lovely and quiet while being in the heart of Marrickville, and the host, My, is always thoughtful and welcoming. Fabulous place to stay!

SUMMARY: This is a greatly furnished and tastefully decorated place in the Inner West which I can recommend wholeheartedly for shorter and longer stays alike. You really feel like a Sydneysider, especially because Marrickville is a hip, but not too posh suburb. Good public transport connection. Main disadvantages: only one key, on top of a noisy crossroad. LOCATION: Marrickville is a lively neighborhood, half Greek, half Vietnamese, with lots of cafés (the best coffee is served at Freepour). Also pubs with live music just next door. If you work at the Uni or like to hang out in Newtown, there are several bus lines ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)). To the city, a 10' walk to Sydenham train station and then you are in 15' at Circular Quay and even less at Central! HOST: My does not live in Sydney, but she responded almost instantly to all my questions and was very helpful with providing further tips and advice. Ideal host. APARTMENT: Generally, it is a spacious place with a comfortable lounge, a kitchen which contains way more than just the essentials, a balcony which overlooks the CDB, and two generous bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other one with a convertible couch). Great plus: each bedroom has its own fully equipped bathroom (shower+loo). The washing machine only works at lukewarm temperature, though, and the tumbler is broken. I told My about this and since she is a very mindful person, I guess it will soon be fixed. VALUE: Sydney prices for long term accommodation are just insane, also outside Airbnb. My charges a very reasonable rate, especially compared to what others ask, but you still need a fair bit of money in the pocket. On the other hand, you get a lot in return! TO KEEP IN MIND. While inside the apartment, everything is good, noise is an issue. The place is on top of a busy crossroad, where cars are cruising almost constantly from 6-22h. Same for the airplanes who also make a huge noise. Yes, you get used to it, yes, there are earplugs, and perhaps I am just too sensitive, but this needs to be said; it is part of the experience of living there. Just to be clear: the pluses greatly outweigh this one minus, but keep it in mind.

My is a very nice host and will be available to contact throughout the stay if you have any questions! Communications with train is a 10 min walk away and takes you quickly to the city centre. The apartment is nice and big with two bathrooms. The only con is that there is no air conditioning, which can be make it hard to sleep on really warm nights! Overall a really great place and stay!

This was the perfect place to stay! My was incredibly kind and helpful. The apartment is beautiful and is was well equipped with everything we needed. We were extremely comfortable and always very happy to come back to such a wonderful home. We loved the kitchen and living space and used the balcony for yoga in the mornings. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable. The internet worked perfectly. My was the best host anyone could wish for! She went above and beyond our expectations by maintaining contact and providing us with lots of useful information. We would definitely recommend this apartment as the perfect place to stay!

From day one making contact with My was easy. She was friendly and helpful and even left goodies for our children! The apartment was great - well appointed and a good central location. The local area has many nice restaurants and cafes. Wonderful for a family or couple who want to be close to the city.

We had an excellent 4-week stay in Marrickville. The apartment is spacious, bright, comfortable and very conveniently located to public transport, shops, great cafes and parks. My was responsive, easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. She also gave us some great tips for local activities with our 7 month old daughter. As we were staying for an extended time we really appreciated the feeling of being in a home, but still with enough space to feel like we could spread out. The wifi is a bit limited but My was very kind to keep topping it up for us. We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and in Marrickville and would highly recommend.
