The space

It's a cozy and nice apartment in a quiet street. I would say it is perfect to stay for 2 people, but up to 4 is comfortable as well. I have an aerobed you can set up in the living room.

You will have access to my whole apartment. This includes the living room where you can relax, kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub to warm up after a cold day out and of course a bed room. Besides that there is internet and WIFI for you to use. And, I have several Berlin guides you can use. If you come with 4 people, I can provide you with an aerobed as well.

I can give you lots of tips on what to do! But there will probably not be a lot of personal contact as I only rent out my apartment when I'm not in town. So, you will have my apartment all to yourself :)

What I really like is that in this area you can still find the `real` East Berlin. Cafes with no closing times, the plattenbau (the Eastern European flats) and hardly any tourists. More important, the neighborhood offers a pleasant atmosphere and it is very close to Rummelsburg and Treptower Park, if you like to take walks in the green. Also it is close to a big supermarket / shopping center.

Even though I live just outside the ring, it is very easy to get around. From my place it is a 10 minute walk to Ostkreuz and Friedrichshain. You can also take the bus or sbahn from Nöldnerplatz and you need one stop to Ostkreuz and two to Warschauer Straße. Friedrichshain has great shops, awesome weekend markets and a great range of restaurants and bars. Or you can easily transfer to the other areas and airport from here - Berlin has a very accessible public transport system.

I have 2 bikes, you can use :)

Everything was quite easy with Henriette. She is a nice host. My parents had a god stay in her flat where more or less everything important is in place.

Hello! I'm Dutch, living in Rome and having previously lived in Berlin. I consider myself a professional nomad, moving from place to place wherever a job takes me. Hopefully many more cities and countries will be added to the list!
