The space

Forming part of a small block of 3 townhouse apartments the layout of this stunning duplex apartment is on two floors and it is internally connected by a staircase. The ground floor layout consists of entrance, a large and spacious double bedroom. The bathroom has a separate shower and floor level Jacuzzi. The upper floor includes an open plan layout, including a fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast table, a dining area and split level living area which leads onto a beautiful 54sq metre private rooftop decked terrace. The terrace is part in the sun and part covered by a canopy, two sun loungers are provided. Here you can also enjoy open country and town views, relax on the large sofa and dine al fresco. All rooms have ceiling fans and windows are fitted with ventilation/insect screens. Guests can make use of a small library of books, DVDs and games available from the common area.

Internal floor area is 74m² plus an external 54m² roof terrace

Maid Service, Linen & Towels
The apartment is fully prepared and cleaned for your on arrival. Bathroom towels and linen are provided. An additional full clean is included for stays of 10 nights or more.

Sleeping Arrangements
It includes 1 double bedroom (1 large bed). For families with infants a travel cot is available and will easily fit in the bedroom.

There is one bathroom which includes a Jacuzzi bath, separate shower cubicle, sink and wc.

Kitchen & Dining Area
The kitchen is equipped with a small under counter fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, gas hob, oven and a good range of utensils and crockery. The dining area has a table and 4 chairs plus a breakfast table with two stools. A high chair can be provided for families with a young (website hidden) & Internet

Free use of Wifi internet is available. Network and pin number details provided on (website hidden) has cable tv/radio channels and DVD player.

The roof terrace is decked and measures 54m². Half of the roof terrace is under a fitted canopy, the other half is exposed and ideal for sunbathing. 2 sun loungers are provided. In addition a dining table with 4 chairs and sofa complement the roof terrace facilities. The terrace can also be used at night as it is well lit.

Cooling & Heating
Ceiling fans are fitted in the main bedroom, kitchen/dining area and living room. During the cooler winter months a mobile electric or gas heater is provided.

This unit is equipped with a washing machine.

This property is not suitable for wheelchair users. For guests that struggle with steps, entrance into the property main entrance is at a dislevel from the street, up 8 steps to enter the main door of the property.

Other Facilities/Amenities
A hairdryer, iron and board are provided. A selection of books, DVD's and games are also available from the common area.

If you decide to hire a car or motorcycle during your visit there is plenty of parking available in the street. If you hire a bikes, a maximum of two bikes can be left in the ground floor corridor.

Shops, Bars & Restaurants
The property is located 300 metres from the piazza (centre) and 400 metres from the seafront and beach.

A convenience store which offers everything you will need is located at the end of the street and is open from 0730hrs to 1230hrs/1600hrs to 1900hrs from Monday to Friday and 0730hrs to 1230hrs on Saturday. There are many other small shops in the town including fruit and vegetables, bakeries, butchers, confectioneries, stationers etc..
Most shops and supermarkets are closed on Sunday and Public Holiday's, however there is one convenience store which opens practically every day from 0700hrs to 2300hrs.

Bars and Restaurants
Most bars and restaurants are located along the seafront or side streets off the seafront. You will find a good variety of restaurants offering all types of cuisine including local, Italian/Mediterranean, Chinese, Pizza and typical 'take away' food.

Check In/Check Out
Standard check in time is at 1400hrs or later. If you arrive earlier and the apartment is available and has been prepared you are welcome to check in immediately.

Standard check out time is at 1000hrs or earlier. If your flight is due to depart later in the day and we do not require the apartment, you are welcome to stay later.

Apartment is private and not shared with other people.

Interaction with guests

We will pick you up on arrival and normally have the time to tour you around the town pointing amenities before taking you to the apartment for check in.

For rentals of less than 6 nights a short stay supplement may apply. This supplement varies according to the number of nights and also season. For long stays of 3 weeks or more during the winter months, discounts may apply. Contact us for more information.

A lovely, spacious apartment in a quiet part of Malta which is a stone's throne from Pretty Bay (5 minute walk) where you can spend time on the beach and in the sea. 5min car journey to the next town which has some excellent fish restaraunts and is a bit more lively, though still very Maltese and has a strong community spirit. Private terrace was great for lounging on in the sun and having dinner with some ambiance. Chris was a great host and very easy to get in contact with. Would thoroughly recommend!

The apartment is lovely and spacious for two. The roof terrace in particular is private and must be lovely outdoor living space in summer. Birzebugga is a nice small town, quite and residential, with a container port on one side of the bay. It is a short walk or bus ride to a dlightful fishing village with great restaurants. The main bus stops are by the harbour and the bus services are good - especially to the airport (every twenty minutes). The locals all over the Island are very friendly and helpful especially in sorting bus routes - there is an app but it is not always correct. Downsides? We habe been to many airbnb properties round the world, and every "market" is differrnet. We had not been to Malta before so are not comparing with other maltesee properties. We were surpised that while there were a few tea bags and coffee sachets to start, these were not renewed and nor were toilet rolls; there is liquid soap but no shampoo and conditioner or lotion. Similarly the washing machine ti s good. We were there for 17 days so used it but one has to buy detergent and softener, and the local shops do not stock small sizes, so that is a little irritating. On a genreal note it is possible to buy ground coffee in the Eastern Supermarket but coffee filters are unobtainable anywhere, and there is no coffee pot so if you are a coffee addict like me I suggest bringing a cafetière! On the whole these are small niggles. The property was scrupulously clean and a great place to stay.

Chris was brilliant from the moment I made the request for booking. He was efficient and thorough and very patient with me, I had managed to delete his email with but he re-sent the information I needed. He arranged a taxi to pick me up as he was away (at his own cost). Check was very easy due to his easy to follow instructions. The apartment is just perfect, clean and modern with an amazing large outside terrace. It is much nicer than the pictures on the website. It also had a spa tub with I made full use of in the evenings. The local town is very quiet, I enjoyed by daily visits to the greengrocer and butcher. Pretty has some lovely resturants if you do not want to cook. The bus to other places was just down the road and very cheap. This is a great place to stay if you particularly want to avoid the tourists hoards. It is an idyllic setting with a great host. Do not stay anywhere else in Malta, I certainly will not! Chris was a wonderful host. He picked us up in the airport. Very responsive when we were having questions regarding our stay in Malta. The location of the flat is really nice, just some minutes walking away from Pretty Bay and the restaurants in Birzebbuga.

We had a wonderful two weeks in Burzibuggia. The apartment is spacious, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for your stay. It lies a short walk from the beach and all the bars and restaurants in one direction, and the huge church, where the buses stop, in another. Chris picked us up from the airport and took us for a quick drive round the town to orientate ourselves, then showed us the apartment. He was on the end of the phone if we needed anything but never contacted us unless he needed to. If you are looking for a busy nightlife, this may not be the location for you, being a town that caters more for the locals than for tourists, however this suited us down to the ground and we alternated between chilling on the sandy beach and exploring the beautiful island using Malta's excellent bus service which will take you just about anywhere for €2.

Besides looking after our apartments, both myself and my wife (Joan) are involved in the tourism services sector and have been for many many years. Joan is a Licensed Tour Guide and I look after our tour operation. We have a son who is still studying at the moment. We also love traveling and do so at any opportunity, unfortunately due to our work commitments it is not often enough...our latest adventure was to Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos all of which are incredible countries, wonderful people and rich culture.
