Pat's place is perfectly located near Squaw and the Truckee River. We road bikes each day to either the river or Squaw for summer skiing! We loved the hot tub, large deck with a beautiful view of the valley, and BBQing. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. Beds were comfortable, the entire house really had that overall feel of a cozy mountain home. Pat was very responsive whenever I had questions, we'll definitely be back!

We had a great stay. It was close to where we needed to be while in Squaw for work with easy access to the Olympic Village (a 3min drive!). There was plenty of space for our group, lots of extra towels, sheets and pillows to make check out a breeze and everything we'd need for a comfortable stay. Patricia went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed beforehand and even called to make sure we had a good time. I really appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtfulness she put into our stay. Highly recommend this place.

Response from Patricia:
Larissa---thanks so much for your appreciative response. What you wrote is absolutely the nicest. Being the owner of a home in the high Sierras is a wild and wonderful experience. I never know what can happen next. Some snow storms have been historic. Yet so lovely. In the valley I feel close to nature. The house has been a labor of love ---even with its little quirks and the constant maintenance it requires. I love to share it. Thanks for staying. My best wishes for a super summer Pat

Very cozy, beautiful house with excellent location. Perfect for our family holiday retreat! Especially appreciated a pantry with lots of the basics (spices, olive oil, coffee, etc)... Was great not to have to buy full size packs of all that!

Pat's house is lovely - right next to Squaw Valley Resort - and a 3 minute drive from the Wanderlust yoga festival we were attending. Super helpful and made sure to provide all the information we needed in advance. Thank you!

I live in Squaw Valley, Northern California and love the seasons.
For many years, I worked as an international travel journalist and specialized in writing and photographing art, culture, destinations, food. France is my favorite country. Several of my worldwide adventures are so funny and bizarre that I've written a memoir--it's coming soon. Title WORTH A JOURNEY, The Adventures of a Travel Journalist.

In addition I am painting landscapes in oils. Last year I had a one-woman gallery exhibition in Naples Florida. This May 2017 my work will hang in the Tiburon Town Hall in the atrium and council chambers.

I love listening to classical music and the pianist LANG LANG--his skill, style and sensitivity--and adore his playing Beethoven's 4th and 5th both Concertos for piano with conductor Christoph Eschenbach. Also other composers such as Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov concertos. YouTube allows me to listen whenever I'm in the mood.

Our family loves Squaw Valley and we enjoy our house tremendously. Maintenance and renovations are part of owning a house in the mountains and there are always something we can find to improve.

We enjoy having guests as we love to share the beauty of the valley. And also the super activities that Squaw offers--great skiing, hiking and the variety of fun weekend events. Guests also encourages us to make improvements as the funds go to updating the house and garden. Last summer we replant a dozen flowering bushes that didn't make it through previous winter's heavy snow. But this winter was uniquely snowy so I am wondering how the new bushes survived this amazing snow fall
