We agreed & payed the airbnb price. Once we got to the guest house, late evening, we were asked firmly to pay DOUBLE the price. We didn't have many choices (at 21:30 pm) so we agreed on some extra payment that I paid cache. In addition, if in the Amenities section there is "kitch…

Response from Anthony:
Look, they were nice people, but 1) there was a big misunderstanding which I believe is airbnb's fault, related to base price. But first... 2) This guest informed us shortly before arriving that they would be cooking their own food - after my wife had spent all day cooking for the 9 of them! (The claim was that they had been out of internet contact for more than 1 day, from the time I wrote to ask them about meals.) 3) The base price listed on airbnb was $70, of which $68 goes to us: this was the price for *2* people to stay 1 night & eat 3 meals. For 9 people it works out to $7.50/person... rather cheap, considering that they basically took over the guests' kitchen which 2 other guests needed to use as well, had 3 bedrooms & choice of 4.5 working bathrooms. We split the extra price they should have paid in half, & they agreed verbally that it was neither our fault not theirs, but airbnb's... 4) In future, we will confirm with all guests before they arrive that the base price (now set at $15, which is for 1 person, 1 night with no meals) is just the starting point. But, *airbnb*, how can a future guest accurately calculate the total price online and not be unpleasantly surprised like this?! 5) We certainly were firm, just as shocked as the guests were at the price disparity. 6) As for wi-fi... we pay per gigabyte, and need to ask guests not to use it for gaming, streaming or other bandwidth-heavy use. 7) The washing machine upstairs does not work, but the one downstairs works perfectly! So... we have learned some hard lessons, and are trying hard to satisfy every guest, but there are limits. We ARE sorry about the price discrepancy, but not sorry enough to let it go, especially as it's not our fault; we simply work too hard.

FANTASTIC! We got to milk a cow (twice) and had great chats with Tony. Wonderful location, if you want to hike I'd recommend here over mestia as it is closer to the actual mountain tracks rather than 4 x 4 roads. Comfy bed phenomenal view!
