A bright room inside a three bedroom apartment. With a double bed and an additional mattress for a third person, equipped with closet and desk. Permanent water all day. The first day of your stay, we offer a complimentary Cajamarquino breakfast. It is 15 minutes (walking) from the city's Plaza de Armas and well connected with other places of interest by public transport. In the vicinity you will find green spaces, entertainment and shopping centers

The space

The apartment is on the top floor of a 80's four-story building and it's surrounded by greenery, where you can go sit, relax and watch the beautiful sky and mountains of Cajamarca.
The bright and airy space is perfect for either a short or long stay in the city. The room can comfortably accommodate 3 people, two in one bed and one in an extra mattress. With permanent water all day.
The area is near several shops, wineries, bakery, hairdressers, pharmacies, gym and restaurants. Plus, one block away you can find "El Quinde" shopping mall and 10 minutes away walking you will find Open Plaza and Royal Plaza shopping centers.
The central location allows you to walk to the historic city center (15 minutes) or you can go by taxi in 5 minutes (pay S /. 3.50). By public transport you'll pay S/. 0.8 or 0.7 soles and it will leave you just 4 blocks away from the main square. Around this area you'll find tourist agencies, cheese shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
The airport is located within 8 - 10 minutes by taxi, depending on the traffic. A taxi will charge you around 5 soles.

Guest access

-The kitchen, living room and dining room are available for guests to use.
-This flat is 100% non smoker.
-The other rooms in the house are not accessible or available.

Interaction with guests

I like talking with the guest and interacting with them, especially regarding to places to visit and walk around the city.

I have worked many years in environmental research and rural development projects so this is always a very good topic to start a conversation.

I try to be at home every time I have a guest.

Other things to note

In the kitchen there is always a thermo with hot water, cups, coffee, tea and herbs filter for guests.
Please understand you'll be sharing the house with the host, so be respectful and kind. Wash everything you use and keep the home as clean as you find it.

Even before I met Fresia I was impressed by how promptly she responded to my messages. Upon arriving at the apartment (which was in the perfect location for me) she was so welcoming and I definitely felt at home. Fresia was also very accommodating, for example, on the morning I left I had an early flight to catch, so she prepared breakfast for me the night before. She is a wonderful host and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others.

I was here for eight nights and found this to be an excellant location. It is close to three different shopping centers with supermarkets (I liked Tottus best). It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main plaza, or four soles for a taxi. The bedroom is comfortable and has plenty of storage space if you want to unpack for a longer stay like I did. The kitchen is convenient. I ate breakfast at the apartment every day and ate dinner there several nights. The hot water in the shower was very hot. There is a laundry directly across the street, although I believe you can ask Fresia if you want to do it yourself. The wifi was speedy and always worked well. Fresia is very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your note Donald !, on the hot water is regulated in the therma, I have it in 2, because I like it warm, but you would have lowered it to 1 (hot average).

Fresia is the perfect host. I agree with all the positive comments that everyone has made about her and I have absolutely nothing negative to say. Fresia could not possibly be nicer or more helpful. The location is good, on a major route, right next to a modern shopping Center (El Quinde), an easy 20 minute walk (no hills) to the central Plaza de Armas [not 10, not 15, but 20 minutes]. The four-story building with no elevator is part of a complex of similar suburban buildings from the mid-1970s that are now old, not well-maintained, and not very inviting, although the neighbourhood is very safe. During my stay (in January 2017), there were problems with the water supply that were beyond Fresia's control: all water was shut off at 7 p.m. until 2 a.m.. There was enough water pressure to operate the electrically heated shower only until about 8 a.m.. Fresia did her best by keeping buckets of water available in the kitchen and bathroom, but clearly this is an inconvenience. You should check with her about the status of the water supply when you are reserving. The fourth-floor apartment is small but Fresia keeps to her own room most of the time so you have a great deal of privacy. The room ( the only room she rents out ) is fairly large, with some closet space and a window on the busy Avenue. There is a comfortable double bed with a new mattress. You share one small bathroom only with Fresia. You also have full use of the kitchen. On the corner, where two major avenues cross (Hoyos Rubio & Evitamiento), you can catch a bus to the tranquil and interesting village of Baños del Inca (15 min.).

Fresia was a fantastic host. She was caring and kind to me. She was always ready to help with any questions i had. I felt welcomed at her comfortable home! I couldn't speak Spanish but we communicated via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) translator without problem. The location while is not central, it is very convenient and just 5-8 minutes (and few soles) ride away. There is a shopping mall with grocery store 2 blocks off. I highly recommend Fresia's place to fellow travelers.
