We had a lovely time, with everything we needed and more provided including some lovely homemade bread, fresh eggs and homemade marmalade. All very yummy! If you are looking for somewhere quaint, quiet and peaceful this place is perfect. The interior is really nicely done, modern and cosy country style. Everything was clean and tidy. We also had use of a lovely fireplace to top it all off. We will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We loved our stay at Judith and Simon's place. The cottage is very well stocked - we were able to cook our own meal and do laundry. The wood burner adds coziness, and the garden area is lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely remote cottage, extremely accommodating and approachable hosts, Judith greeted us with freshly made bread & eggs from her hens. The cottage is lovely for a quiet get away, in the middle of no where but easy to local villages/walks if you have a car. All amenities you could need in lovely surroundings. Would highly recommend. Just don't expect good signal & the wifi is hit and miss but that's to be expected in the location.

We stayed at the Salt House for 5 nights in August. It was cosy, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with a personal touch. The setting is idyllic with a lovely garden that we were able to sit out in. Judith and Simon were fantastic hosts who welcomed us with freshly baked bread, eggs and home-made marmalade. They gave us helpful recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the local area. We enjoyed several of these, in particular The Vine House in Helmsley which is well worth a visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again one day.
