Roquebrun is a charming old village with narrow winding streets, some of which are too narrow for cars. Parts of the village date back to the twelfth century. The river Orb with its beach and clear water enhance the village and it's a great place to while away the sunny days. Idyllic for children and adults.
The village has two bars, three Restaurants, a pizzeria, a small supermarket, and a super boulangerie also selling free range eggs and seasonal fruit. Roquebrun has it's own local Cave selling wines of the region. There is a small market on Friday mornings. The village also offers canoeing facilities. The esplanade offers a small shaded playground for little ones.
A car is a must for you to explore the region as there is so much to do and see such as :::: The Canal du Midi, the spectacular Gorges d'Heric, local markets in Saint Chinian (a must on Sunday morning) and Cessenon and Pezenas. Pezenas and Carcassonne are very old towns with much to see. Mediterranean beaches such as Serignan Plage and Valras Plage are a 40 min drive away.
