A very clean, well equipped gite, set in a lovely area of France. The hosts made us very welcome, and had obviously put a lot of thought into what people might want or need during their stay at the property. We would thoroughly recommend the place to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings.

This beautiful gite was the first stop during a 2-week trip to France with my husband. We chose it because of its proximity to Beaujolais wineries and we were not let down. Fiona and Peter's chambre d'hôtes is located directly next door to a winery whose vines extend right outside the main bedroom window and all around the property. We were also stunned by the gorgeous grounds and gardens of the property itself. The gite has its own outdoor dining / picnic area as well as an outdoor sitting area covered by a trellis with little lights at night. We loved to sit outside there when we got home from exploring the area during the daytime. Inside, the kitchen is well-appointed for cooking, the bed is very comfortable, and we couldn't get over the enormous shower!! We visited Beaune in Burgundy on our first full day, which was a little over an hour driving. On Fiona and Peter's recommendation, we explored more locally on our second day and had the enormous pleasure of discovering the village Fuissé, where some of the Pouilly-Fuissé wines are produced. We had the most incredible tasting and conversation with one of the family owners of Domaine Thibert. We also got to visit a few other wineries, from the large to the very small, including Cave de Charnay, Chateau Chasselas, Grille Midi, and Domaine Jean-Paul Champagnon, all within around a half-hour's drive from the gite. In addition, we ate lunch at Cafe de la Gare 71 and dinner at La Terrasse du Beaujolais, both really delicious meals in beautiful settings. In all, this was perhaps the best Airbnb or any type of accommodation we've stayed in. Fiona and Peter were some of the most helpful, discreet, and genuinely welcoming hosts we've ever met. We felt very spoiled and ultimately wished we had spent more of our vacation here instead of moving on to other parts of France! Without a doubt, if we ever have the privilege of visiting this region again, we will certainly be back.

We loved our 4 day stay at Fiona and Peter's!! The garden is amazing with more roses and other flowers than you can imagine. It even has a basin in the garden filled by one of two springs where you can relax and cool down in. It is situated in between the winefields which in a very quiet area. Truely a very special place. Fiona and Peter are very kind welcoming and if you like they go to the bakery for you in the morning and you can drink (the best) wine from the neighbours winery for a fair price which we did ofcourse :) I realy reccomend this place!
