Casa Luna is an affordable 2BR, 2 BA condo just across the street from Los Muertos Beach in "Zona Romantica". Great area for families, safe, secure, walk everywhere. Close to bus. Beautiful patio area where you can enjoy the jungle-like atmosphere.
Casa Luna is one of only 7 units in the complex. The units are set in a steep hillside with a jungle-like feel. Ours is the first unit above street level. It's decorated nicely but not extravagantly. Lots of things from IKEA. Most of your time will probably be spent outside on the patio that is lined with palm trees and bougainvillea. You will have everything you need to cook. There is a comfy king bed in the master with private bathroom. The room is dark and quiet so you can sleep well. 2 double beds are in the other bedroom. Cable TV in the living area and wireless internet service. There is an electronic security gate with intercom in each unit and security cameras. Security bars on all windows.
You will have access to the unit itself and also a common deck area 2 floors up where there are lounge chairs and a table. There is no pool but you can use the pool area across the street from us at the Tropicana hotel buy purchasing a day pass. The cost is 180 pesos for adults and 140 pesos goes toward your bar/restaurant bill. So that's about $3.50 to use the pool. They just want to make sure you are purchasing something while there. It's a good deal.

My wife and I grew up in the Pacific Northwest area. We have lived in Edmonds most of our lives and love the water, beaches and boating. I am an engineer and Karen is a nurse. We have 2 grown...well almost grown...kids. I play golf and Karen rides and works with horses for fun. Both of us strive to live in the moment and be a bit spontaneous. Puerto Vallarta has been a vacation destination for us since 1983 and we finally bought a place in 2001 because it is so easy to do just that: slow down and live in the moment. We also bought 3 chihuahuas and a Mexican cat! We are serious animal lovers in case you haven't figured that out. We travel to PV with our kids and they LOVE it there. We feel they are safe in our neighborhood and our daughter spent 2 summers there in 2011 and 2012. We enjoy sharing our vacation home with others and our goal is to keep our prices affordable for the "average guy".
