Perfect getaway and great base for further travels. Clean, comfortable and obviously very loved by the owners. Great hosts that gave us as much information, conversation and attention that was needed! Wonderful people, place and location! We will be back!

Just returned home from the most wonderful vacation at Heather and Stu's lovely Casi Cielo. Our casita was far above our expectations. The beds were comfortable, the space was pristine, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Fresh water, ( and really anything you could need) was available from our gracious hosts. The patio, just above the waves, was sooooo beautiful and private. The beach was practically empty for as far as you could see. Needless to say, we loved it, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a touch of luxury, off the beaten path.

We live in Sayulita but our home was rented for 5 nights and we were looking for a place close by, but quiet. We had driven from the US and just needed a place to relax and unwind. Heather and Stu's place was perfect, we had a large deck with hammocks, table and chairs and a unobstructed view of the ocean. There are steps down to the ocean and we walked, slept in, and cooked in the kitchen which is very well equipped. We ended up becoming friends with Heather & Stu as they had us up for coffee and we spent an evening together. It is close to Litibu Grill which was a great evening and good foo. We highly recommend the place. It is private and off the beaten path. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Casi Cielo is amazing, we had a lovely week there. It is situated on a small cliff right above the ocean. There is a large stretch of beach to the south that is perfect for walking. Litibu Grill is a 10-15 minute walk up the beach, there are a few other restaurants in town but not really walkable (about a 40-45 minute walk into town). We ended up renting a car from Avis, halfway through our trip so we could explore other towns. San Pancho was our favorite! Definitely worth checking out, we liked it better than Sayulita. Destiladeras was our favorite beach, calmer waves so better for swimming. It is a 15 minute drive from the house. Heather and Stu are amazing hosts, providing wonderful insight and advice, they helped us rent a car from Avis and gave the driver step by step directions to find the house! We even hitched a ride with them to Bucerias, we had a great time there, wonderful shopping!

We absolutely loved our stay at Heather and Stu's place in Higuera Blanca! The beach, Playa Litibu, was the amazing and very private, yet you are only a short drive to Punta de Mita and Sayulita if you are looking for more people and restaurants. Heather and Stu were perfect hosts - offering great ideas of things to do and places to eat and awesome history of the area also! We highly recommend a stay at Casi Cielo!!

Listing description portrays the property well. We were greeted with a warm welcome. Stu and Heather included us in many of their weekend activities including snorkeling at a local beach and going walking around and seeing the sights in both Sayulita and San Pancho. They were also kind enough to connect us with a local vendor to buy a great BBQ chicken lunch from. I would print out a map of the directions since the roads a little tricky and the cab driver from PVR was understandably unfamiliar with the neighborhood. This was a GREAT place for a quite and relaxing vacation!

When you think of a Mexican beach holiday, you think of the view from Heather and Stu's patio. Situated above a stunning stretch of beach, hammocks strung between palm trees, the crash of surf and the warm glow of the sun setting over the Pacific. The water was uncharacteristically rough at the time of our visit, but we still had an opportunity to swim at their uncrowded, picturesque beach. As others have noted, bring some supplies with you, the location is a bit remote (which is a good thing) and it wouldn't be an easy walk into town. We rented a car in Puerto Vallarta and drove up, then backtracked to buy some delicious roasted chicken and tortillas at one of several roadside stands. Heather and Stu are incredibly kind and helpful and seem only to want to share their small (actually quite large) slice of heaven with guests. Do you really need to be connected to the internet in such a wonderful location? They have a connection, but it's spotty – a situation they are well aware of and trying to correct. In retrospect we might have picked up some sim chips with data, just to be able to manage some details for the rest of our stay in Mexico – or to post photos of the unbelievable sunsets on Instagram, making our friends in frigid NYC impossibly jealous.

My husband Stu and myself are attracted to living on the water …hence on the beach in Mexico and our houseboat for the other 6 months in Canada.
We love the weather, people food, ocean and tranquility in both of our countries we call home.
We love to live a life of tranquility.
We also love to share our experience of Mexico with our guests so if we are travelling to any of the outlying areas don't be surprised when we ask if you would like to travel along…
Even though we live on the same property as our guests we understand that this isYOUR holiday so you won't have to worry about not having privacy…
Our motto is :" When the door is open please come on in !"
We tend to be fairly relaxed and spontaneous , as the doors open…... we walk through them.
WE LOVE OUR LIFE!
