The house and location are perfect! The privacy was amazing. The only downside was the comfort of the main bed. However, I was able to utilize a futon, since there were plenty of sleeping options. It really felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely return for another stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend when our friends got married in Bellingham. The cottage is even more beautiful and feels more spacious than it looks from the pictures. The place gets great light despite being nestled among the trees. We stayed on a hot summer weekend and it didn't get too hot, there was good airflow. The dog was very friendly, if a little over-enthusiastic. The garden is nice and secluded, there were birds chirping, it was overall a great getaway from the city. I would recommend this place to anyone hoping for a quiet weekend away. In case you're curious about amenities: - Toiletries: Yes, this place has shampoo and conditioner. There is no hair dryer so bring your own if you need it. Lots of washcloths and clean towels. - Wifi: Yes, they have wifi but it only works in certain parts of the house. Not a problem. - Cooking: Gas stove, oven, grill. No microwave. - Coffee/tea: Coffee and tea provided, but bring your own cream if you're into that. Options for making coffee are french press and stovetop espresso. There's an electric kettle for hot water. Getting around the area: - Bellingham was about 30 minutes by car, but such a lovely drive and no traffic. We made the drive several times and I didn't mind it. - 15 minutes away to get to The Fork, a nice place for a more refined dining experience but not too pretentious, and at a great price. We went there for lunch and took a walk along Lake Whatcom which was gorgeous. - 5 minutes away from Raspberry Ridge, we stopped here for lunch before check-in and were amazed by what this small-town golf course cafe had to offer. There was also gas and some small shops in this area.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful! Two of my friends and I enjoyed the comfortable, clean, and cute space and loved the countryside feel to it all. It was close enough to Bellingham and the waterfront to make a couple trips back & forth per day. And Gypsy was a bonus playful delight! I hope to come back again.

We like to sail, bike, ski, hike and anything else to do with this incredible natural playground we live in. We are also passionate about growing food, the arts and raising our children.

You can often find us with our atlas and marine charts, dreaming and plotting trips.

We like staying in Airbnb when we travel because we have a richer traveling experience and it fits our budget! Last year, we stayed with Henriette in Amsterdam and it was fabulous. We are currently saving up for a 'grand' trip and are very happy to share our home and space.
