Great little private spot. Only 4 cabinas and the main house. A little outside of town but I reckon this would be a god send in high season (we were there off-season). Bar and shop around the corner for your necessities, black sand beach at the end of the road and a 10-15min walk into town, love the place.

The Casita was above and beyond our expectations. Vittorio has built an amazing garden which gives you the privacy and seclusion you need. At night, you fall asleep listening to the sounds of the jungle with howler monkeys, birds which made our experience even more enjoyable. The outdoor kitchen was a great way to start your morning and the hammock was a great place to nap in the afternoons. The black sand beach was just a short 30 second walk from the Casita. Shevonne and Joe were so welcoming and available when we checked in. They provided great recommendations for places to eat, and things to do nearby. They also offer a variety of additional services from laundry, bike rental and cooked meals!

I would say the place is as described and looks like the pictures. I was worried about it not having A/C but it was actually fine while we were there, we used the fan and it was cool enough. The garden is beautiful. One thing I would say is that I could hear the people staying next to us even though we did not see them much. So be mindful that it is very quiet around there which means people can hear the noise you make or conversations you have. The kitchen was nice but the pots and cutting board were kinda old so hopefully they'll get new ones. Other than that very nice place, close to the beach and city. I would recommend it. We got a welcome banana bread and it was amazing! Thank you.

Really nice place to enjoy a stay in Puerto Viejo! Quite, lovely nature and only 5 minutes by bike to town. The kitchen is perfect and also the room is comfortable. We loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay! The sounds of wildlife heard from the house is amazing. Vittorio is a great host--very accommodating. We did breakfast one morning, it was delicious (especially the banana bread). The neighborhood is quiet and secluded--the perfect spot to disconnect, relax, and enjoy yourself.

Amazing place, beautiful and comfortable. Very quiet and surrounded by nature. Nice to stay in if that's your kind of vacation. Great place that exceeded our expectations.

Vittorio User Profile

Vittorio, an Italian citizen, is a chemist by trade who worked as a lab technician in Italy for two decades. In fact, he analyzed the water from our well and says it's chemically good, hard water! He loves traveling, reading, and nature.

In 2013 Vittorio went on holiday in Costa Rica and fell in love with the country and in particular with the Caribbean coast.

By the time he was on the plane heading home he had incorporated a company, bought a piece of land and contracted with a local builder to begin construction of a few bungalows.

He quit his positions in Europe in the summer of 2014 to move to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca and begin his dream job: Casitas Las Flores!

Vittorio manages the property with Joe and Shevonne, a Canadian couple who moved to Puerto Viejo with their house cat Archer in 2014. Joe is a photographer by trade and Shevonne has her own online business. They love managing Casitas Las Flores and will always do everything they can to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
