I’m listing the pros and cons of living here. Pros: 1. Great connectivity. Buses 81, 16 and 51 which stop right in front of this building is a great way to get anywhere in the city. The nearest metro station is only 1000 meters (5 stops by bus) away. 2. Good supermarkets, eating joints right across the street. The pros end here. Cons: 1.She doesn’t communicate very well in English and selectively misunderstands. 2.The so called kitchen can only be used for tap water and the glasses. You cannot cook in there. Siska doesn’t have sufficient utensils in her kitchen even if you want to make yourself a cold salad. Note: When it is mentioned that there is a kitchen in the bnb listing it merely means that there is a kitchen which cannot be used. You may however use the dining table to eat breakfast. 3.Cleanliness. Sure the bnb and the bathroom was clean at 5 in the evening when we moved in, however there was no cleaning done after that. Even the dustbin was emptied by us despite the hefty cleaning fee. 4.The so called fan is 8 inches in diameter and only enough to cool your face when you are about 2 feet in front of it. 5.The bnb had too many unnecessary house rules. 6.The shower cubicle was small, very small. If you’re 6 ft tall and have a girth above 36 inches then forget having a bath. 7.The so called quiet neighborhood is a very busy and noisy street exactly at 5 in the morning local time when the traffic below the window starts moving. 8.I was rudely awoken from my nap one the evening by Siska after a tiring day of sightseeing because the elevator door wasn’t properly closed and was on her floor so she thought it was our fault while we had actually taken the stairs as we couldn’t use the elevator and when I told her that, she said ’I no understand’ ‘just close elevator door properly’. 9.The double bed is actually two single mattresses put together and slopes towards the middle. 10.Siska was not comfortable with leaving our packed bags in the bnb when our flight got delayed and we had to make other arrangements, but I guess it is her choice. All in all we got the impression that Siska is not really comfortable with non-Italian guests. Maybe she shouldn’t accept foreign guests. After excellent Airbnb experiences in Milan and Florence, this was a tremendous let down.

Response from Siska:
It is the first time that I happen to host people so misfit ! Dear Sylvia saw hope it is your first experience in a city like Rome , can not imagine how noisy this city ! regarding cleaning probably in your city , then in your house when you are used to let soiled all the crap , when you go to the bathroom to make your needs leave everything in plain sight ( and disgusting ) , when vomited at night you like do so with open windows and doors ( wowing your neighbors ) . I did not want to go into dettagni , but after your feedback it seems appropriate to describe my experience , which I hope will not happen again ! The rules of my house to find them written in my ad and no one ever complained . Having said that I feel obliged to confirm the fact that " you are not a guest that I would recommend ! "

Siska was a very nice host, it was a plessure for us to stay in her apartment. We were allowed to deposit our luggage in the morning, she explained us everything when we arrived and she also provided breakfast (milk, cornflakes, juice, croissants, coffee, tea, biscuits...). The room was clean and tidy, she also provided towels. The room had a small balcony with a great view. Siska recommended some restaurants/bars in vicinity. We would recommend to visit those restaurants near her flat because the restaurants near tourist attractions are very expensive. The location is great.

Siska was nice and welcoming. She is ready to give you all the information you would want about transportation and places in Rome. Her English is not the best, but she is eager to try. The room was clean and exactly like the pictures showed. We can recommend staying at Siska's place.

The apartment was nice and the room spacious. Even though the flat was not as close from the Coliseum it was still at a walkable distance (25 mins), and Siska was kind enough to leave snacks for every breakfast. She also offered to show us around the first night, though sadly I couldn't make it on time to join her.
