The Inn At Crippen Creek Farm offers a respite from the hectic rhythm of everyday life. Stroll our 15 acres, rest by the creek, enjoy the beauty of our farm, the garden, the orchard and the livestock. Your stay includes a full country breakfast. We also offer optional gourmet dinners and cooking classes. On weekends you can enjoy live music and craft beers in nearby Cathlamet at River Mile 38 Brewery.

The space

The Inn At Crippen Creek Farm is a 15 acre organic farm nestled in a quiet, remote valley in the Willapa Hills. Our guests love the gourmet food, they are charmed by the animals but I think it is the quietness that speaks loudest to them. In a world that is increasingly addicted to noise and speed, silence becomes golden.

Guest access

Our guests are free to gather in the great room or the screened porch, stroll about our 15 acres, sit by the creek or play a game of bocce on our bocce court.

Check in: 3:00 p.m.
Breakfast: 8:30 a.m.

Interaction with guests

Guests are welcome to be as reclusive or as social as they wish. Many like to sit at the counter as Don prepares a meal or sign up for a cooking class and participate in the meal preparation.

Other things to note

Our county is small...there is not even one stop light in our county. Dining options are pretty much limited to small town diner fare so if you are looking for a special food experience, ask about our optional gourmet dinners. We can also provide recommendations for dining and sight seeing in nearby Astoria and the Long Beach Peninsula. We have fabulous kayaking in the area with world class guides.

One of my best experiences on Airbnb. Kitty and Don are great hosts. The house is very clean and welcoming. The homemade breakfast surpasses many popular restaurants in the city. We are looking forward to visit again.

We had such an amazing time here! After camping in Olympic for a week we were really excited to relax and regroup- we were not disappointed! From being greeted with cookies when we first arrived, to having an amazing breakfast send off, to sleeping in the most comfy bed... we really had such a nice time. I am so thankful for Kitty and Dons hospitality and for their genuine interest in making their guests feel right at home. Hope we can come back one day! Highly recommend.

Not only is Kitty and Don's place an absolutely wonderful spot to stay, they are the best hosts we have ever had! The rooms are clean, comfortable and are a very good size. The house is open and very welcoming. The property is super relaxing and has a small creek running through it where you can hang out in a hammock and watch salmon spawn in the Fall or just listen to the babbling of the running water in the spring and summer. Don is a whiz in the kitchen. He makes breakfast in the morning and always has something whipped up for dinner. Kitty and Don are both great conversationalists and are a joy to be around. We highly, highly recommend staying with them! And we'll definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

Kitty and Don could not have been more hospitable! We felt like we were visiting old friends. Don is an amazing chef and is passionate about his baking. Breakfasts were wonderful and we immensely enjoyed a Southern dinner for a reasonable extra fee. We would recommend the Inn at Crippen Creek to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, country getaway.

We reserved a room at Crippen Creek for one night on our week-long road trip up the coast. It was a bit of a detour, but the drive was scenic and relaxing. We both agreed that our stay there was definitely the highlight of our trip! The property is beautiful and impeccably maintained and we knew the moment we arrived that we were in for a treat. Our hosts, Kitty and Don, warmly greeted us as "instant friends". After we settled in, we were offered a glass of wine, which was a lovely complement to Don's delicious appetizers. The optional dinner is highly recommended, if you enjoy engaging conversation and delectable food! There was more delicious food at breakfast, unquestionably a cut above most b&b offerings. Thank you, Kitty and Don for sharing your perfectly lovely place and for your warm and welcoming hospitality. Our only regret is that we booked just one night. We look forward to the next time!

Hospitality and good cooking have long been our passions, both personally and professionally. Over the years, we have enjoyed many good meals and conversations at our family table. Professionally, we took great pride in the food we provided when we owned and operated Mangiamo! Catering in Portland, Oregon. However, there comes a time to heed a different call. That call came from a John Prine song that encouraged us to…”blow up your tv, throw away the paper, move to country, and build you a home.”
We answered the call and discovered this hidden jewel called Skamokawa (ska-mock-away.) The beauty and silence that this valley provides were absolutely magical for us and we find ourselves eager to share its charm with our family, friends and wayfaring strangers as a place to rest, reflect and be renewed.

On our secluded 15 acres we attempt organic gardening, raise our own meat and passionately pursue a more contemplative life. We enjoy hosting guests in our small country inn. Kitty beautifies our home with her fiber art...needle-pointing, rug hooking and knitting. The kitchen is Don’s domain where he loves preparing classic dishes from around the world.
