This 2-bedroom, 640 sq ft apartment-style condo is in a quiet low-rise building in beautiful and central Bankview, 5 blocks from the start of 17th Avenue, which is home to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops and shopping. With easy access ($10-$15 cab ride) to downtown, the Stampede grounds, and many vibrant neighbourhoods including Kensington, Marda Loop and Mission, it also only takes about 25 minutes to drive to the airport.
This listing is for the entire apartment. This was my personal home before I moved to Vancouver so it still has a few personal items in it, such as books.
The master bedroom features a new (Nov 2015) queen-sized EQ3 bed and Casper mattress, north-facing window and 18" clothes rod for your use.
The second bedroom features a comfortable double/full bed (Nov 2014), a large closet and north-facing window.
Linens and towels are included, and you are not required to wash them at the end of your stay. The deep soaker tub in the bathroom is a huge bonus!

You will have access to the 2-bedroom apartment's living space, kitchen, patio, bathroom and laundry. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, a wide range of cooking utensils and table/glassware. You are also welcome to use whatever dry groceries there are in the cupboards, like spices, oil, vinegar and coffee and any items left in the fridge.
Interaction with guests
I live in Vancouver but I am available for questions throughout your stay and have family and friends in Calgary who can help out if needed.
Other things to note
Pets are permitted but please keep them off of the furniture. You agree to pay for any damage incurred by your pet.
There is no air conditioning in the apartment but there is fan available for your use and it usually cools off enough at night during the summer for a comfortable sleep with the windows open and fans running. The bedroom windows face north so that helps with heat during the day as well.
Please be sure to keep the windows closed tight in the winter when the heat is on.
No loud noise after 10pm, 7 days per week. No visitors (regardless of whether or not they are staying overnight) and no parties. This is to ensure a high level of respect for my neighbours and my home, since any additional visitor has not been screened by Airbnb or me. If you expect additional guests, they must be registered in advance. A doorbell video camera has been installed for your safety and security. It only points into the hallway and also allows me to troubleshoot with you or let you in remotely if you have trouble accessing the suite.
Please be respectful of my neighbours, especially in the hallways and on the patio, but also while inside the suite - it is a wood-frame building. My neighbours in the building know that I have Airbnb guests and if there is an issue with noise, etc. will call me immediately.
All pets must receive approval prior to booking and must stay off of all furniture.
Remove your shoes at the door. Clean up after yourself in the kitchen and run the dishwasher before you leave. To be respectful of the next guests, please keep cooking with fragrant spices to a minimum in the 24 hours before you check out and be sure to leave the heat at a comfortable temperature (around 20 degrees C).
When preparing to check out, don't worry about the linens or towels - my cleaner will take care of those. Please just ensure that you've tidied up after yourself and at least loaded and started the dishwasher before leaving. If the garbage is smelly, it is also appreciated if you can take that out (instructions are in the Guest Guide).
Typically, check-in is available after 3pm and you must check out prior to 9am. Please make a request if you require different check-in and check-out times.
By accepting these house rules and confirming your reservation, you are also confirming that you will review the condo bylaws, found in the Guest Guide on the kitchen table.
Violation of house rules will result in losing your security deposit.
