The house has been recently renovated/restored with new kitchen and bathroom, large converted loft with ensuite, stripped floorboards downstairs, wood burner in the dining room and small garden.
Located in Greenbank- quiet and friendly neighbourhood
Victorian terraced house in the popular area of Greenbank, Bristol.
The house is on a quiet street in an area with no through traffic. As the house was recently renovated the 2 x bathrooms and kitchen are new; the bathroom on the first floor (with bath, shower, sink and toilet) and the en suite in the loft. There is also a small garden and decking area.
The converted loft is the part of the house we love the most. We designed it to give us the most space possible and it is very light and spacious. It has two very large windows with views over the roof tops, tree tops and beyond. The two long skylights open up the room for sunsets. Handmade oak and mahogany shelves, large antique chest of drawers, a huge mahogany mirror, cast iron radiator and sisal herringbone carpet make the loft feel as if it's part of the original house. There is a brand new en-suite with a large shower, slate floor and shelves and reclaimed sink.
On the first floor is a double room with large bay windows and is very light.
The dining room/kitchen is open plan- we have a lovely oak dining table which eat around and a chaise longue close enough to the woodburner. There will be some logs and kindling available and more is available from the family run Spar 2 mins away.
The lounge has a large 3 seater sofa and a flat screen TV- we have HDMI cables and VGA cables to plug in laptops as well as a 'TV' stick which you can access our Netflix account through.
There is wireless broadband throughout.
Guests will have full use of our dining room, lounge, both bedrooms, both bathrooms, kitchen, candles for candle lit dinners and and garden too. The only areas that are not available for guests will be the cupboards underneath the stairs and our walk in wardrobe in the loft room. You are welcome to use the kitchen but you really are spoilt for choice with all the restaurants nearby.
Interaction with guests
Danielle or Mark will meet you for checkin and we will leave info about locking up for when you leave.
The house is our home and we want others to enjoy it when we go away for weekends. We will of course be contactable by phone in case of emergency and we have friends who live in the local area.
Other things to note
We have feather and down duvets and pillows so please be aware of this if you are allergic.
We leave out hand towels and bath towels for you to use during your stay.
Our house is our home and we would hope that anyone staying treats it in this way too! We don't wear shoes in the house as we have carpet upstairs so please don't wear shoes upstairs.
-We will leave cleaning products (sprays, cloths etc.) in a bucket underneath the sink in the kitchen. If there are any spills/breakages/accidents, please let us know.
-Please take shoes off indoors. You are welcome to keep them in your lounge or in the hall.
-The door does not lock when it is shut. the handle needs to be lifted (as far as it will go) and then turn the key to lock. Please do try the handle to check it is locked.
I live with my husband in Bristol, England.
We love this city and whilst we love travelling around the world- Russia, India, South East Asia, Europe, North, Central and South America, Australasia... we always love coming back here!
We both try to lead a healthy lifestyle- we cycle where ever possible, eat vegetarian food, exercise and both have jobs which we work hard for and really enjoy.
I am a freelance marketing manager and my husband is a Primary School teacher.
We are both very house proud and have been working on our house to get it where we want it to be. We have just finished our loft conversion and feel that we have more than enough space now to welcome people into our home!
