Casa Pina is a great place to stay. Very close to a couple of scenic beaches as well as grocery and liquor stores. After a long day of exploring and beaching, it was nice to be able to sit and watch a movie from an extensive selection! We would definitely recommend this home to future travelers.

Linda's house was so wonderful! Great location, with views of the water from the lovely, breezy deck! All of the extras that Linda has taken the time to stock the house with really made a difference. We cooked a few times, used the snorkeling equipment every day, kayaked a couple times... She really has thought of everything. Linda's support team was also incredible. Thanks to everyone for a great stay!

My daughter and I had a wonderful, relaxing time on Eleuthera, largely due to our very comfortable accomodations. Linda and her island "team" were very responsive to any and all of our questions or needs. It felt like home after one day. Public distractions are at a minimum so it easy to fall into a pace of slowing down and just marveling over the beautiful scenery. It was one of my best island vacations when considering accommodations, scenery, cost, safety and friendliness of the people I dealt with. Thank you!

Very happy to hear your stay was enjoyable. We agree its nice to "get off the grid" at times to reconnect and just chill out without all the extraneous noise we are so frequently used to

Amazing location with view on the sunset AND the sunrise ! Rainbow Bay is a clean and beautiful area well protected from the dominants winds. Easy snorkelling for the family with abundant marine life. Casa Pina was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking and all our activities. Small details like extra suncream, buggy for the kids, sand toys and the two kayaks were highly appreciated. The outside shower was very useful after our day on the beach ! The beds in the two bedrooms were very comfortable but the mattress of the sofa bed could be upgraded. Be aware, that little « no sees » bugs are very active ; it’s preferable to keep the windows close in the morning and evening and open them only when the sun is down because they pass through the screen. We enjoyed a lot our trip in Eleuthera and we recommend this house. Linda was very responsive and gave us a lot of information. We also met Brenda the housekeeper and Sinneque the gardener and both are very very friendly as everyone else on this Island !

Linda's house was above our expectations. it is very clean and full of small attentions which made us feel at home. it is very well equipped, especially with the beach gears. the big deck is very confortable especially at sunset. the house is ideally located at the center of the island, five minutes from rainbow beach, which was one of our favorites (our favorite was gaulding cay). it is not far from governor's harbor, gregory town (don't miss the bakery, best cakes i've ever eaten, and i'm french :), and some small farms where we bought some organic eggs. the rainbow inn is a fine restaurant in the neighbourhood where we had some fantastic fish. finally a wonderful experience of Eleuthera. I wish we'll have the chance to come back!

Before our trip, Linda was very responsive and answered all questions I had regarding our travels to Eleuthera. Her house is very welcoming with many personal touches and, thankfully, she provides many items, like toiletries, sunscreen, spices, etc. that we take for granted and assume are cheap and readily available (not the case on the island, so we were very happy Linda had them available to us). My son enjoyed her large movie selection, since reception for 'regular' channels or cable is not really an option on the island, and my 2 year old daughter loved the sand toys Linda provides. We also used her wagon to carry the 2 year old and all our gear down the road to Rainbow Bay Beach. The area is beautiful, quiet, and Rainbow Bay Beach is perfect for families with small children. It is the only beach where we saw live starfish (and we visited over 14 beaches during our week there). The nights are amazing on Linda's deck. You can hear the waves rolling in, the frogs croaking, and watch the fireflies, and you have an insanely wonderful view of the stars. We did experience the ants, but as Linda mentions, they are not too bad if food is kept put away. Electricity went out only a couple of times during our stay, but we expected it to happen and my family enjoyed collecting and lighting candles. Both times, the outages were no longer than 1/2 hour to 1 hour. We did not experience the low water pressure as others have mentioned. It was just fine for us. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Pina and would definitely recommend her home to others.

We spent a week at Linda and Charlton's lovely house in February 2016. Both Linda and Charlton emailed us some very useful information in the weeks leading up to our trip. Charlton even left us a delicious bottle of sparkling wine for our first night in Rainbow Bay! When we arrived, the door was unlocked, so we left our things and had dinner at the Rainbow Inn. We were glad that Senique greeted us at our car when we returned during the dark of night. He guided us to the front door with a flashlight (we forgot to turn on the outside light). The description of the house is accurate. The house has been well-kept and has a lot of colorful decorations. It was clean and functional. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable recliners on the deck. The deck is huge and has beautiful views of the sunset on the Caribbean, as well as a star-filled sky - just about every evening. We appreciated the quantity and selection of good books, CDs, and DVDs. There were a lot of beach towels, some snorkeling gear (fins - about women's size 5-8). Locals thought it was too cold to swim in February but we loved it. Sky Beach (about 20 minutes south of the house) was our favorite beach for swimming. The water on the Atlantic side was warmer than the Caribbean side - and the Atlantic side had a lot of fun waves. Rainbow Beach was a nice quiet and clean beach - we walked there in the morning (less than a 5 minute walk) and we watched the sunset there. We walked across Queen's Highway to the Atlantic side and watch the waves crash against the cliffs. It made for some beautiful pics (we didn't swim at that beach!). Our favorite restaurant was the Front Porch - about 10 minutes north of Rainbow Inn. We also had a good meal at the Stubbs family's BBQ - ribs, cole slaw and peas and rice. We had our lunch on the beach across the road. We liked the quiet neighborhood. We met a couple from the neighborhood association who were cleaning Rainbow Beach. I read that the Eleuthera unofficial motto is “Eleuthera, it’s not for everyone”. The electricity goes out for short periods, water pressure water in the shower is minimal, and I saw one large bug. The roads are terrible so it's better to slow down. You have to make do - like the grocery stores don't offer a lot of groceries, but we found good food at a local farm stand.

We are an International Couple living full time in Nassau. I am originally from the NE United States having moved to the Bahamas 20 years ago. My Profession is in healthcare and my husband is a restaurateur.
We have travelled quite extensively but always find our way back to Eleuthera and its serenity and beauty.
We fill Casa Pina with art, books, music, and movies, but most of the time we are out enjoying life; seaside living during the day, and in the evenings a glass of wine on the deck continually amazed at the magnificent constellations.
