Lovely cottage by the lake. Sue maintained very good communication with us all the way from pre-check in to check out. Her neighbour also dropped in to help out while she was away. A very pleasant experience - highly recommend.

Response from Sue:
Hey Scott. It seemed like your family had a lovely time at the cottage, experiencing a real Canadian tradition. We have tried to keep the cottage original and rustic. Cottages by water often have more spider webs and dust than a regular home and that can be part of the charm but I know it's not for everyone. We will do our best to keep ahead of it and appreciate that feedback. We were happy to get you worms and delighted to hear that the kids caught some fish off the dock and really hope you liked the Montreal Steak Spice we left for you.

Sue is a lovely hostess and greeted us at the door with warmth and kindness. She was very responsive to all of our needs. The house is small and quaint, full of antiques and other knick-knacks. Beds are firm and very comfortable. Shower has excellent water pressure. The back deck opens up to a lake paradise, which our family enjoyed immensely. The house is furnished with a lovely antique collection, which, although charming, made the house feel cluttered at times. Our only real disappointment was that we could not access the sleeping loft, as it was filled with the owner's personal belongings. If you are traveling as a couple or with a family or fewer, this would be the perfect place for you. This was our first foray into Canada as a group and we will definitely be back!

Response from Sue:
Lauren, it was a delight to have you and your family at the cottage. The loft isn't on my listing anymore but I had honestly forgot that you booked before I removed it! I would have come by and made it accessible. My apologies. Thanks for the feedback.

Liu, Thanks for your feedback. You and your friends were great guests to have. I'm sorry about the hot water. I should have warned you that the water heater needs time to reheat when there are several people showering. I'll be sure to add it to my listing so others will know.

I was lucky to be in the area before the arrival day. Stopped by to see Sue a few days before staying. I got a tour of the place, keys, and got to talk to Sue about the place and ourselves. Sue was very accommodating with arrival and departure times. She helped me find a place to dock my boat as the water was very low and also lent me a map of the lake to avoid the dangerous spots. My sisters and I were taking my mom and dad to a Willy Nelson concert at Casino Rama. It was great that we all got to stay in the same place rather than staying in a hotel with separate rooms. It was also very close to the venue.
