Interaction with guests
I can interact with the guests if they need help or want advice about activities in the area. My family lives nearby so guests can either have full privacy or we can be contacted to help.
Other things to note
The house is surrounded by a lush garden with local tropical fruits and rice paddy.
The joglo is located in a quaint village outside Semarang and offers a true local experience. Please be aware that the local religion is mostly Muslim and the call to prayers is broadcast 5 times per day. The loud broadcast can sometimes be unexpected by foreigners but those that have lived in Indonesia are use to this.
Please only smoke in the open area downstairs. Also, no loud parties because the location is in a small village and it is important to respect the local culture.
Please take off your shoes before entering the house. Slippers are provided.
